As someone who studies meso american histroy seeing thus makes me so happy:). I dont blame people for doing this because its not rlly explained much but maya is actually the correct term mayan refers to the language family . The snake god you made is kukulkan in mayan or quetzacoatl in nahuatl. Hes not only a maya god but meso american covering other people such as the aztec ( which is a also a wrong name but covers a fast section of multiple cultures). Also fun fact the meso american pantheon is still worshipped today by many meso americans such as mayas and nahuas. I dont mean this to come off as condescending or rude sorry if it does i love talking aboht this subject

You can make did you dye boxes and sell them in Grain’s entity.

Hearing someone who was once a teacher say all you can ever do is your best is really comforting because somedays your best is really good and sometimes it's not. Again very comforting for a simple thing she said but I love it!

The one lion having an eye problem sounds like Z fighting, the eye and the head have the same position in one of the co-ordinates, typically Z, hence the name. Most engines try and solve rendering both elements in the same place and position by checkerboarding them. I don't know how granularly you can set positions but moving the eyes forward an imperceptible amount like .001 _should_ help

As someone straight from Yucatan, where most of the Maya culture is, we really appreciate your building and I'd like to thank you for it :3 As Mysticus said before, Kukulkan is the name for that God, but also Quetzalcoatl, it depends on the culture. It's been an honor, Cleo :3

The Crastle (I have no clue how Bdubs spells it) statues look amazing! I love the small detail of Bdubs being slightly shorter than everyone lol.

I love the dragon head!! Its quite rare but cool to see a build made in focus of the colors of the blocks. Very cool idea :)

I love the feathered serpent! I love mythology, and its really interesting to see your spin on it. I believe it might be Quetzacoatl, or maybe someone else who I don't know about. But, I do know that he is a god of Arts and Crafts, so the dye is really good with it!

Oh wow, your Quetzalcoatl is absolutely stunning! It is one of the most beautiful minecraft builds I've ever seen and it's perfect for a dye shop. All of those amazing block choices make me want to try to use more colour in my own builds.

Cleo, I’m sure it’s been suggested already, but black dye from wither roses is easy if someone had a farm with whom you could partner up. Like the tango/impulse wither everything farms. ✌️

headcannon - Cleo's Did You Dye shop and Scott's empire of Chromia, the Land to Dye For are connected somehow and Cleo imports some of her dyes from Scott and vice versa

Man, watching an artist at work is fascinating! When Cleo was doing her armour stands, I kept thinking how much it resembles sculpting something from clay, and then the serpent God building process looked a little bit like 3d printing a model how it was mostly made level by level. Excellent work on all of it! What a great episode

Watching you do armour stand work will never cease to be completely mesmerising, Cleo! The horse by your shop was impressive too! Also something something crastle duo being on the ramparts of the new hermit crastle something something. The dresses especially look awesome!

Cleo, are you familiar with "Alebrijes" they aren't mithological creatures but they are cultural and very colorful, they would look very good as decoration in or around the shop

I keep seeing more talent from Cleo this season, more collaboration, a significant improvement in every video as to flow from beginning to end, and I love that! This was the answer to all my questions of last season. She is a well rounded Hermit after all. Cleo got the super skillz!!!

I normally find time lapses boring and skip ahead, but yours are amazing to see how much work goes into a statue.

Love the Quetzalcoatl build. Not only is it beautiful, but the style is also indicative of the native art representing him. Well done all around.

The snake reminds me of a Dreamtime story called the Rainbow Serpent - Aboriginal (Indigenous Australian) story about a large serpent who slumbered during The Dreamtime when the earth was a barren rock, the rainbow serpent emerged and its giant body carved through the land as it travelled across the earth. When it returned it called to the frogs to emerge, bellies full of water, and when they laughed the water came out and filled in the tracks that the serpent left, creating the lakes and rivers. With the water, grass and trees began to grow and all other animals that slumbered during the dreamtime emerged and populated the earth. The story goes on and it's actually pretty great, worth the read!

I like how you made the feathered serpent brightly colored! Most ancients sites were very bright and colorful but over the ages all the paints and dyes faded and it wasn't until relatively recently we were able to discover the ancient sites were not just the drab ruins we have been left with in modern times.

I love your style this season! A project I’ve always wanted to do if I was a builder is to do Cerberus guarding a nether portal with an amazing nether build on the other side. I feel like you might be the one who would actually do this project! Tangos nether building this season has fulfilled this itch a bit as well as Jevin building in the end, but I’d still really love to see a Cerberus nether portal some day.

I say it every time you do armor stands, you are an absolute genius and the BEST at it.

Fun fact: there is a chinese proto bird fossil that was named after Quetzalcóatl, the inspiration for the dye shop. Ironically, there are images of the Quetzalcóatl that are epic huge.

You should make a wither rose farm in the end rather than a squid farm. With squid farms, you gotta drain an entire river and build the farm. But with wither rose farms, you just have to build the farm and cover an end island in water.

I love the armor stands and the building! The colors are so good and it looks so real. If black dye is a problem and you dont want to do the work of farming it, I know that Grian has been trying to make a squid farm for black dye
