I was in the group looking for muffler!! haha it’s a 1989 BMW K75s cafe. I think it was zip tied by the previous owner lol We actually found the muffler and it’s been put securely on and sounds great 😄

No way! 😂 Hahah! That’s awesome I love it, glad everything was all sorted out & buttoned up! Same thing happened to me on the freeway with an old Harley I was building up long ago (stripped bolts) lol.

Congrats on your new ride, I’m sure it’ll exceed your expectations especially once it gets broken in. Before buying my R9T I had an S100RR which was the most exceptional bike I’ve own over the past 50+ years. However, as a 71 year old I felt it was time to mellow out a little and traded out the RR for the NineT about a year ago and couldn’t be happier. It’s still a very spicy ride, but I won’t poke my eye out. You’re new ride has the same power plant as the RR, just a bit detuned, so it’ll be an awesome ride! The only complaint I had with the RR was that it generated a ton of heat which can be a bit uncomfortable in our SoCal summer. Hopefully that’s not an issue on your bike. Anyway, enjoy your new ride and I look forward to following your every changing adventures. Cheers

Glad you like your new bike - does look and handle awesome but as an R Nine T owner i'm gutted i'm not going to hear that great exhaust sound on your rides - its a bit quiet now! loved being in california with you for the sunshine/ all year around riding when its cold and miserable here in the UK - hopefully you still hang out with your r nine t buddies at the cafes, as its great to see the variety of customisation that goes on....

Thanks for the comment, yes I’ll still be riding with my NineT buddies, they’ve become really good friends! The XR sounds a bit quiet due to the Euro5 cat, but planning on slapping some headers on to make it sing. I hope you stay for my content, cheers!

Kind of funny you should mention people subbing bc of the R9T, I found your channel today bc of the S1000XR. You are so lucky to experience that bike on the roads you have there. All year round. I had to put mine in storage for the winter last month, and it`s probably going to be four months until the roads are clear again. Wish you all the fun and safe journeys!

I also subscribe for the R9T when I was waiting delivery for mine And I sold it after a year and had a few other bikes for a while. Now I'm sitting on a gen 1 XR!! Good choice with that bike man!

Super excited to see your upcoming vids atop the S1000XR, again, congrats on the upgrade! Ya, the sale of the F900XR makes total sense, the bikes are too similar to keep both, but shoot, giving up that RnineT…if I had the space in the garage I’d probably have one, or, the Vitpilan 701 has always been on my radar as an around town style piece too. I get it though, motorcycling is all about trying different bikes and experiencing new things right? I’m totally in that same mindset.

Congrats on the awesome bike! I had to trade in my R NineT Racer when I bought my GS, just to bring the cost down.. saw it still sitting on the lot a few months later and thought, what the hell, and bought it back. So I have both bikes, and I don’t think I could let go of my R NineT ever again. But hey, if your new touring capabilities ever bring you as far as Denver, hit me up and I’ll show you some awesome roads out here!

Haha that’s awesome, Joe! Ya, the sensible thing to do would be to sell your current bike to use as down payment on the GS but shoot, if you love a bike enough, how do you give it up? Happy you had the means to keep both bikes. Nice thing is they’re different enough to satisfy different uses for you so you can say keeping both is just as “sensible” 😉

Glad you’re enjoying! There is a small buzz through the handlebars, but it doesn’t bother me. The S1KXR would directly compete with the Multi V4S Pikes Peak edition due to similar 17” front wheel. I suspect they will perform similarly but I’ve yet to test ride one. Thanks for watching!

Do remember the new RNineT (euro 5) isn't the same bike at all. So unless you buy an older version you'll never really come back to the RNineT. :)

Noooo not the R9T!! almost disliked. New R9Ts have lost its soul (as cliché as it sounds with the euro 5) 2016s -2019 were the sweet spot due to their raw feel. In any case thanks for introducing me to the bike (motivate me to buy one) and cool brands as Deadalus desing and other amazing content on modifications and how to do it. I do get the logic though!
