Oh I love when your family goes to the great Smoky Mountains! My favorite place! I agree the Red Rooster Pancake House is a great place to go! We didn’t have much luck at the Alamo, but we went to the one in Pigeon Forge and it’s been awhile, might have to try again. Thanks for sharing your awesome trip! 😊

A trip to the Smokies is always a good time with good food! I am glad ya'll tried the Alamo. The original was burned during the awful fire a few years ago. We were so worried that they may not rebuild...and so glad they did! It's one of our favorites! We are all so lucky that we live within a distance that we can up and go most any time. I have done several trips with the girlfriends just to shop one day and back. What is 3 hours, both ways, when it comes to shopping? lol. Worn out, but worth it! lol.

We saw that Jurassic ride on another video. It really looks boring and absolutely not worth the price. So glad you all had such a nice trip. When my children were little and my husband was alive, we would go on trips like this. So many happy memories ! 🥰💐🌞🏜💗✝🇺🇲
The food at the steakhouse looks very good. Steaks at places are hard to find a good one. "The rolls are callled up yonder" 🤣 My son would have loved the dinosaur ride when he was little. @11:54 I saw something showing this car and didn't think it was a real car, at least hoped not but my goodness it is real. 🤦♀Nice family trip.

I always go to the Alamo for a steak when I am in Pigeon Forge and the Red Rooster is my Dad's favorite breakfast place. But I also try to go to one or two new places as well when I am there. You are so lucky to live close by to PF.
Thanks for the reviews. We've avoided Alamo Steak house because they are pricey. But it looked like large portions. We end up going to our favorite restaurants. But I'm like you & want to try some different places. ❤
I live in Middle TN, found out Gatlinburg has a restaurant we used to have here called The Peddler. We made a zip trip a few weeks ago just to go. They have the best salad bar and the prime rib absolutely melted in your mouth. Expensive but oh so worth it... I would argue that the Peddler has the best steak....
….and the last time we went to the mountains we drove to Cades Cove to try to see a bear…. No luck. Went to the Peddler to eat and when we went to the car, there was a bear in the parking lot!
My G'son his girlfriend and family are down there now, will be there 10 days staying in a cabin. What a beautiful place, . Thanks for taking us with you. Love y'all ❤
We have done some spur of the moment trips like this... last Christmas I packed up bags for all 9 of us ( our girls were packed with them sitting right next to me as I filled their suiitcase) and we surprised our kids with a trip to see their cousins for Christmas
