I did salt and pepper ribs with just regular ribs once, and they were awesome. Tho, I smoked them offset like normal. But they have a lot of flavor without the rubs and sauces. (which I also like) Cool technique and vid!

You'll love them. They are tremendous. Just make sure you don't allow the fire to flare to much.

Rendezvous in Memphis cooks their ribs similar to that over direct heat. I like both ways.

In south of Italy they grill them on olive wood hot fire separatly like chicken Wings only with salt! Tastes a Amazing

Ya you don't always need to slow cook ribs. I cook them like this a lot and they are beyond good when you get them crisped without burning.

I used to grilled ribs and l loved it. I had great results and not so great. But that was my inexperience and different ribs quality. I'll try again thanks for the tips 👍

Have you ever cooked on the portable Cobb Grill ? They are wonderful little inventions.After using mine several times I put both my little Weber Smokey Joe and big Weber Kettle in storage.Haven't looked back.

Yes but the way he cooked them they are fantastic. I have done this for years and it's just a different style and texture. Try them out this way and I guarantee you will continue to do them like this frequently.

I'd like to see a ribs comparison. For beef: back vs Chuck vs plate. And for pork: rib roast vs Spareribs vs country style ribs.

BE CAREFUL WITH BUTTER ON THE COALS! Between the fat and the fire you can quickly find you've burned the outside of the meat. The inside is still good and can be salvaged with a bbq sauce and indirect high heat to make it sticky. I've had this happen before.

Now this is the way to grill ribs! When I have cooked ribs using the 3-2-1 method I always wind up with tasteless mush barely fit for the dog.
