@rubyedelman .... that shaking is called vibrato. Her diction is quite good, and the notes are very clear. She has excellent technique. Toscanini would tell you that. She is not a mezzo because she has made an international career singing soprano roles. I would like to know who today singing this repertoire in the world is leaps and bounds better than she is.
@aaronsande LOL, you imagine the bomb it would be if I just dropped by and wrote "I don't like."? LOL As I saw many people liking this vid..... (You didn't receive that thing I was to send you about bs, ps and ts, did you?)
@macciboma We agree, than :-) I did recognize that she has a beautiful timbre. As for the too amplified voice because of modern techniques, etc. I call it rough singing. (Pav was a rough singer: he was all the time singing loud. Interesting: latimesblogs.latimes.com/thedailymirror/2010/06/pavarotti-in-la-boheme.html) Cheers
"un po' per non MORORE al primo incontro".. oddio.. che strazio. troppo vibrato, mima le parole come Marcorè quando fa Alberto Angela (piccol punto) , sempre con ' sti occhi spiritati enormi che non c'entrano niente con Cio Cio San, a 1:22 si blocca con una specie di singhiozzo, a 1:41 quell' " aspetto" con sospiro. Pensavo di andarla a vedere a teatro ma ci ho ripensato.
Didn't like the acting neither the singing. Ok, wonderful voice, but rough singing. Too much 'impertinenza' for Butterfly's singing. But I would love to see this acting in Suor Angelica, though. Very indisciplinated audience. What was that clapping for in the beggining? Before the aria is not any well-known number... And what was the rush to clap in the end? If at least they could have waited 20 seconds till the end of the aria melody, they wouldn't have destroyed neither the melody nor acting
it is shame to sing like this, I never heard anything worse than this, the voice is entirely shaking, no diction, not even one single clear note sung, but .....this is what we get today on Verona stage! Unbelievable....
Attendo con ansia la sua versione di Un bel dí vedremo....poi ne riparleremo. Intanto e per fortuna ci sono interpreti della grandezza della Signora Nizza.
