Hello -
My version of Butterick 5616.
I have made this jacket out times, and each garment is unique. I love this casual jacket pattern as it is versatile and provides a different look depending on fabric choice.

Oh my gosh Karon, that jacket turned out just gorgeous! I love it! I don’t think the top stitching makes it look like a jean jacket at all. Double rows would give it more of a casual look though. This jacket is so versatile with all the neutral colors. I haven’t sewn jackets in years but I’m looking at the Poas jacket by Itch-2-Stitch.

That print in the twill fabric you used is very eye catching and as usual the jacket turned out beautifully. The yellow one you made is my favorite shade of yellow. They both look so good on you. Made my evening coming across your vlog. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

I’d hand stitch the facings down. I’ve hand stitched many blazer linings and facings over the years.

I always like your fabric/pattern pairings. I believe I need a snappy jacket. I’m aiming to have my skills and confidence up over the winter and make a spring jacket. This might be my pattern! Fantastic job!
