I am listening to this in a suburban US yard, heat of summer. The cicadas are screaming. The air conditioners are grinding away. Nature and machinery become part of the song. The droning lines up. I am blessed with my mother's madness.
This song has a special meaning for. In late 90's I was living in Austin TX. I had weird neighbors who turned out to be junkies; I became friends with them not knowing their "provclivity" After a while this became a normal thing. One lost weekend I partook and O.D. 'd. An ambulance was called, I have vague memories of tubed being shoved up my nose, bright lights and being wheeled around on a gurney. For some strange reason this song was in my head on auto-loop. I fixated on it to stay conscious and to stay alive. I don' t why but it worked and I'm still here. This is a true story.
wow, I lost a lot of friends back in the day due to heroin. I now am wondering as a true BHS fans did they hear this on their way out? here's hoping so because that drug is a sh*te soul stealer
What a great song! What an unlikely hit. Just added this gem to my Shellshocked Radio Recommendation List: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lYt1mnlBujA.html
