It’s pretty garbage for sound. If all you care about is a mic buy a antlion wireless mic. I had the hs80 and gave it to my lil bro. I got the maxwell which actually has a better mic.
I got mine for two weeks to. For fps gaming my beyerdynamic mmx300 does it better, if you wanna hear only music or just like that, order it! And it is so uncomfortable!!
I’ve bought mine hs65 like a year ago and pretty soon the plastic head band cracked. Is it just me, or is it a common issue? (this is the only issue I had)
Bought Corsair Virtuoso XT because of both Bluetooth and 2.4 Wireless connection, using them for 2 years already, but boy, are they freaking hot. Even with Wicked Cushions cooling pads it's still kinda too hot.
The sound out of the box isn't great, it is lacking a lot in the bass area. However, once you figured out a setting for your Dolby Atmos, they sound great. The microphone cannot be adjusted and while it has an insane quality, it is also very sensitive and hard to balance in discord. Both my partner and I own a HS80 and our voices are constantly picked up by the other headset. If we decrease the sensitivity then it starts cutting out when talking. Despite all that, I still recommend them. Get some 3rd party leather ear cups though, for more isolation and better base.
@@NoFailer I have HS65 and it has almost the same mic quality if not the same, and have no problem with it for Discord sometimes I just turn on the Krisp noise suppression IF needed
Hs80 has a awesome mic especially for that price I have a 350 euro mic setup but i still reguarly swap to my hs80 just so i wont have to bother with staying infront of the mic
I own one. The sound of the microphone is very close to real life. However, you cannot adjust the distance of the microphone to your mouth, it is a stiff microphone. Keep in mind that it is also very sensitive. It is very hard to balance it for example in discord so it stays sensitive enough to pick up your voice but it is not too sensitive to pick up more than that.
im watching this on a broken JBL Quantum 400, which is ass, because basically you can choose between a find sounding mic and terrible audio...or audio and an ass mic. now i gotta go get a new one.
Wow my Logitech G Pro X2's mic sounds way better then that what.. Actually kept them over the Blackshark v2 Pro 2023's because the mic on those kept cutting in and out.
Wow, you go to the headset mic and immediately audio quality drops massively. I mean... why not just use a normal set of headphones and a mic? I'm not seeing the argument tbh.
Thanks for posting this man. These were my top contenders. I wound up getting the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed for $199. I thought about getting the v1 for $130, but I just went for the X 2. I'll be picking up some wicked cushions. You have an aff link?
As someone who owns the Blackshark V2 Pro and the Kraken V3 Pro, I would give it to the Kraken as it sounds much better and has better directional audio for FPS games.
Really? I thought the black shark v2 pro sounded pretty decent for $100. I mean I’d rather use iems or normal headphones, but still pretty decent for games.
I think the logitech mic gets a bad rap from reviewers. You can adjust the mic EQ a ton in the software and make it sound good, and if you get the blue ice pop it is even better with tuning. Its like none of the reviewers ever do anything with all the tools you get.
Notify me when they do full range microphones. Cutoff at 10 kHz is still unacceptable. (Wow, Razer even has a misleading graphic of the frequency response curve on their site!!)
just bought the steelseries arctis pro wireless. I have to say, the software and user experience of these headphones is next. level. I'll take this level of convenience and ease of use over a little bit of sound quality any day.
I like how he goes over every headsets battery life but the steel series just say 2 batteries lol. 3-5 hours of use is a joke and the most important information you left out has to be sponsored
Just use tws buds or Bose/Sony anc headphones. You’d be better off going for something with decent passive isolation too, anc doesn’t protect your hearing.
Oof. I can get a cosy Beyerdynamics 880/990/770 for that with studio sound quality for gaming and eargasm in music and a similar mic quality separately for 20 bucks. I'll never understand gaming headsets.
black shark v2 pros sound trash and the cloud 2 wireless sound trash do they all sound trash or is it just those two cause they sound nothing like the wired versions
V2 pro and hs80 are shit because they have breaking points, a lot of bad reviews if you search the 1 stars in A****N… no go for me, I also bought an hs80 and it came broken I hear the steel series can break too the g pro x old version could too, but they fixed it on the x2 because the earcups can rotate now, so no there’s no tension on the bracket anymore
I wish these youtubers would actually TRY to use the G Hub software to find some user made mic presets. They sound a whole lot better than the default presets. I understand reviewing the out-of-box no software experience, but also throw in some user made presets to show the full potential of the mic. The preset i use is called "Balanced" by not timo and was told the mic sounds great. Obviously hard to compare with the other headsets since i don't have them though.
I had the Logitech ones and they were terrible, even with the Blue voice and trying all of the presets. All of my friends commented on the downgrade in mic performance, whatever settings I tried. the G Hub makes no difference and cannot make up for bad hardware.
I got a Razer Black shark, broke after a single year, so much for reliability. Got myself wired studio-grade headphones, and been loving them ever since.
Which headphones? Tbh the only gaming headsets that can compete with actual headphones are the audeze offerings and maybe the vzr model one. Oh and the pc38x.
@@Hijynx87 Rolling with a pair of DT770’s, they are solid, especially for the price tag. I mean I appreciated having a wireless headset but running out of battery is one thing, but also more stuff that can go wrong with the unit. I had some really good Razer stuff, just felt betrayed when my headset broke, quality isn’t there.
for the price of blackshark v2s you can get an audio interface bundle that includes a mic and headphones that will be of vastly superior quality in every department, and all without locking yourself into replacing the entire thing if something happens to break.
@@TalooshDaBoss okay but hear me out, there will also be newer versions of all the stuff I listed by then, which will also cause those things to go down in price, so either way you’re better off not buying a gaming headset to begin with
@@SaltSpirits but is the specific markets for each of those as competitive to see devolopment as quick, because for it to be worth it imo the technology needs to be developing faster than the products are getting outdated which let's you get still very viable and almost new products at big price cuts, especially with tons of competitors in the space. It's kinda like gaming laptops though like they're an inferior all in one package but in the current rate the get such massive price cuts, people like plug and play products as much as I wish the better stuff sold more people don't care enough or know enough and would rather just get a popular decently reviewed and recently priced product. I wanna learn some more audio stuff so I can find the right pair myself but hard to find the good info that's presented in an understandable way.
Soundblaster x g6 and some good cheap iems, or some koss headphones (kph40, ksc75 w/headband and yaxi pads) will beat all of these and still have gaming features.
I have used the HS80. Alot people seems to forget that the corsair does not have noise cancelling mic. So it picks alot of background noise like other people around you. So if you shares a room with your sibling you better off with different mic.
Idk how i feel abt the blackshark v2. I got the upgraded version but everyone i play with still tells me it doesn't sound as good or clear as my old corsair virtuoso. Also some games the sound quality is horrible no matter how much i mess with the synapses. Which sucks cause the virtuoso is so uncomfortable compared to the blackshark. But I'd rather sacrifice comfortability for performance.
Pls dont buy blackshark v2 the up down ear cup is very very bad. Sound also not worth the price. Only good for one thing gaming. But if you wanna do anything else it is very not worth it.
Got a pair of Audio Technica m50x and a pair of Sennheiser 560s. 560's sound amazing for basically every scenario, and I can hear footsteps stupidly clear. If you have to get a wireless headset though, I can understand that.
Right... the Logitech has an abomatation of a mic, the razer has no surround sound on ps5, the cloud 3 has 0 bass and the nova will break your bank🤣 I bought the Audeze Maxwell.. wont have to buy another headset ever again🗿
Coming from gaming, going all digital is pretty upsetting. So much control and ownership lost. We are hoping that companies will keep our storefront open or the servers running so we can still play games we paid full price for. That is one way I wish NFTs could step in, but it will most likely take an indie developer doing that. It would be really amazing if Devolver Digital (a big indie publisher) could spearhead this!
HS80 for the win .. but i gave up on all the gaming trash and bought myself a DAC and Hifi Headphones and attached a ModMic onto it. All custom, just like my PC. It's a fun experience. Your ears deserve it.
Maxwell mobius Penrose pc38x and hd6xx have no competition in the mid budget headset space ignore everything else Buy either one I've mentioned and give me a commission
corsair HS80 is god tier headphones for gamers but the battery life is horrible. Reviewers say its 8 hours batterty life but everyone in the corsair forums complains it lasts 5-6 hours max.
Question im planing on buying a ps5 and i want headphones but i dont know if it's worth it to go wirreless or if i can go wirred and conect to the controler. ( thinking if wireless the logitech lightspeed 2 and if wired the logithech pro x) if you could give me recomendations for another headphone i woud love it and if posible not passing the 250$ like the logitech pro x lightspeed 2.
I bought the G pro X 2s and I hated them. Sound was way too quiet, directional audio was all over the place, and only being able to adjust a pre determined 6 bands in G hub is garbage. Battery life was definitely insane tho.
I just got the Blackshark V2 hyperspeed, and really like them. They sound better than my $300 JBL’s, and are now replaced for watching shows and movies when I’m outside in my smoking shed. Super comfortable, great sound (needs to be tuned), and all my friends noticed a huge improvement over my last mic.
@@almin4 because razer always make headsets that fit me well. I’ve had many including $500 headsets and they all feel terrible. Razer isn’t that bad, you just follow a certain crowd who most have never used a razer product. Fun fact, all companies make lemons. And in fact, I have had more issues with brands people rave about than I have with razer. So next time, keep your asinine comment to yourself unless you’ve come prepared to argue civilly.
@@almin4 you obviously do, otherwise you wouldn’t have made the comment. 🤔 or you would have completely worded it differently so as to engage a proper conversation on the matter. But you instead tried to shame me because your views don’t align with mine, you you just couldn’t resist trying to be “that guy”.
What he won’t tell you is that none of these are headphones are the best for footsteps and those would be the stealth pros… go look at actual reviews this guy is lazy in comparison
Not sure if they they best gaming headset for positional audio cuz its hard for me to tell. Might be a skill issue. But the 300 hour battery on the cloud alphas is no joke. I charge them like once a month its awesome
