As someone who has watched you for years the last minute Saka to Son transfer was completely normal! The Cartel talk did make me laugh though….. Andy Soprano 😂😂
@@tomminter8578 Absolutely - long term viewers of the channel know that what happened with my transfers on Saturday is pretty common! A last minute panic because I'm genuinely not sure which way to go. I even said with 8 minutes left to go "I'm probably buying Son"
The mystery chip good ideas might be: A- to reset the prices and buying players with original prices for one GW. B- to reset an already used chip to use it again. C- the ability to substitute or change the captain during a GW. D- choosing to double your total GW points before the GW starts.
The fact that Andy is having these back and forth discussions on how to go with his team shows how good the pricing has been this year. Only change I would make to the game is being allowed to bring in subs right up until the minute they play like in NFL fantasy because the way football is going now with rotation and managers not talking about players injuries, the game feels more like risk management then fun at times. Or Premier league should bring in a rule that like the NFL, players who are set to miss the next game with an injury has to be reported and can be released over an hour before the game. My only complaint about FPL right now.
I pretty sure with own goals it’s literally the last person it came of gets given the og, it’s different with the opposing team having a shot (on target) and it deflecting in and the shooter getting the goal given to them, I think this is why people are confused
Most people I'd want to chat with are already doing their own stuff, so probably no scope for doing something regularly unfortunately. Maybe I'll try and get a few people on during next break.
@@LetsTalkFPL speaking from someone who works from home, it's better to talk to people than into the universe on a call lol. Seriously, interaction and discussion is better than rambling. Keep up the good work though
No need to worry about defence i had two 4.0 and Rico Lewis from start till now and have no problem with them, its not like im missing out on any hauls
Would rather have McNeil than Bruno and use the cash elsewhere - probably would upgrade to Palmer or Def from Rico to Gvardiol or Porro. Shorter term after Tottenham good short run of fixtures changing Solanke to Jackson given Chelsea upcoming games from wk13 (not bad even doing it this week either) who is under appreciated this season
Ref Villa, when considering attackers against them or their defenders for pics, they have just welcomed back Mings and Kamara both of whom are important for them defensively. When Mings was a regular in 22/23 they had the sixth most clean sheets and last year without him they were tenth. Kamara also gives excellent cover for others to get forward, something they’ve been missing without him.
@@xMrCouch He will no doubt be rotated in around Pau, Konsa, and Carlos. Emory doesn’t mind playing two left footers together. They have conceded a lot of goals with the others playing and miss Ming’s calm presence, leadership, and aerial ability.
I think the mystery chip will differ for different players. I think it is something that might do with rank where people within a particular rank will have a type of chip. Basically I think it will differ
I like your team Andy. However, FPL is all about picking right players who are consistent on assists, goals or clean sheets. Sometimes stats like XG doesn't matter. Last year I suffered keeping Eze for consecutive 6 game weeks as his underlying stats was great, holding him too long hoping he would score or assist, hurt my rankings a lot last year. So I am targeting players who are consistent this season. My current rank in 326k now. In GW3 my rank was 5.2 million. Then I targeted consistent players with easy fixtures.
If the ArsLiv game is going to be very tight, is it nor worth hedging your bets and playing TAA over Gabriel and if one team keeps a CS, then you're covered?
Andy is 100 percent correct. The error was giving the OG to the wrong person. The outcry on twitter from late riser /harry/mate/Toni/others was embarrassing. I wonder if they would have been crying about the assist if they had areola.
One question: Considering that City and Arsenal are not doing so well this season in Defence and frankly no other team has been consistently good in defence, do you think we should make the defence cheap and use that money in attack where the real potential to gain points has been so far?
Bruno really hasn't been as big of an issue as everyone makes out, most of the alternatives people have suggested (especially since GW6) would have resulted in fewer points.
Pep primarily picks players based on who has trained the best and not always necessarily related to tactics as he believes all the players are capable of victory. Therefore that is why team selection seems a bit randomised
I guess you underestimate the ownership damage so often. %40 and above owned available player is an essential. you'll need at least 2 players to return to match his one return. And if he hauls, you'll need a gameweek of players to catch it (average GW9 36, Haaland and Palmer do 17 to 20 hauls). For me, Haaland, Mbuemo and palmer are essentials. Betting on Strand Larson, Johnson and Konate is worth it.
You are only correvt if the most important thing is to minimize rank change, both positive or negative. You only need your player to score more points, but the variance is higher.
@@tosdiv2886 that's right. Exactly. Ownership is crucial in this game. Having 6 out of 11 most owned players is very important. It gives you balance and advantage. 4 players should be between 10% to 20% ownership with +80 mins availability.
Flekken in for Raya and Ait-Nouri in for Konsa Will be playing Flekken Ait Nouri, Gvardiol, Robinson ESR, Rogers, Salah, Palmer Havertz, DCL, Haaland (C) Any thoughts? Appreciate what you do Andy!
To be fair, some of the biggest FPL RU-vid guys are WAYYYY down as well. FPL Fran is at 1.9m, FPL Raptor is 2.9m rank. FPL Harry is at 541k. All these guys typically have pretty good seasons, often in the top 10K. What seems to be happening is that the expectations based on statistics aren't matching the production. I am at 432K and feel like CRAP, but at least I am not the only one.
Jumping between Haaland and Salah has not worked out well for me so far. Just gonna stick to Haaland, especially since KDB should be back soon and Liverpool have a tough fixture schedule coming up
I think the triple captain is a bit of a kneejerk from a bad week. Salah has Ipswich & Southampton to come both at home, with the potential of double game weeks. Haaland scored CL but he's not been on fire of late.
@@LetsTalkFPL Maybe not kneejerk then, chasing points like all of us. I would be very surprised from watching you for a few years that you go for it on a single game week so early in the season with a player not on top form
Already swapped diaz for son earlier in the week, now im at a bit of a conundrum, saka califiori and my other bench players injured, might have to go -4 just not sure who to get rid of and who to get. 0.4M in the bank.
Can't get afford Palmer in 1 move. Can't get Son or Foden either unless sell Lewis/Porro (have 3 city and Spurs). What to do with Saka. No need to do 2 moves either as good team. Can bench Saka for Rogers, Gabriel or Van den Berg.
selling Haaland for salah feels like allot of transfers for something which may not go right to me , then if it goes wrong there's no way of going back
Looking to bring in Ait Nouri before tonight’s price rise for either Trent or Gabriel… Not sure which to sell, obviously got money tied up in Gabriel but with the Liverpool defence looking so good this season i do just see Trent as a better long term pick. (I have Raya in goal too). Any thoughts?
Could be something really simple. Auto captain highest scorer. Auto pick best starting 11 (No bench headache) 12th Man (first bench points count) 2 keepers. These don't need a dgw, but obviously if it's limitless, or a number of other things it will. I really think they should have told us at the start of the season so we could plan for it. Or, change it every season so it's always a 'Mystery'. Good video as always mate.
i swapped saka for son on Friday night last time out....I didn't have any info either....just felt saka wouldn't play...and the next 3 GWs son's fixtures were better....I didn't need secret info...i was doing it anyway...it was sensible to do
I probably going to tripple captain since I have had two so bad weeks. Even if Haaland just scores one goal still get decent points. I was think of get rid of Haaland before game week 13. Haaland to wood (or Haaland to Solanke). , Virgil to Trent, and smith Rowe to Salah. I would have 4 free transfer in that game week , But you never know if you get injuries. I have Palmer at the team. Really want Trent
3 FTs Transfters confirmed: Davis to Aina✅️ Possible transfers: Mitoma to Johnson Timber to Gvardiol Havertz to Solanke Either of these 2 moves and id have to bench Mazraoui/Semenyo. Thoughts?
I also have 3 and I like your Aina move. I have that red flagged Greaves to move, so that may be my choice as well. The other two are Saka to ? and I may hold one.
Enough with this Solanke talks, please. With his pricing, why not get others with more route to point. Buy someone who is on Pens or something. There are obviously consistent forwards to look out for. If Solanke eventually gets a goal this, don't dare come for me 😂. Others have been busy doing that.
"Bruno may been in a horrible accident and lost his legs, but I think he's still got good potential this week so for that reason I'm going to keep him in my fpl for another 10 years"
U will regret benching TAA mark my words. He loves an assist vs Arsenal. Without Saliba Arsenal will be weaker and Liverpool looking really good defensively
Trent out for me! Liverpool's defence is going to struggle big time over the next 6 or 7 game weeks. I disagree on his value, about a million overpriced. You can fund a lot better midfield or forward line without him.
@@LetsTalkFPL I meant both Gabriel and TAA. Maybe it's my Delap owner bias, but I don't think that Brentford are keeping a clean sheet agains Ipswich. And even though Pinnock might have a tiny goal threat, is it bigger than Gabriel's or TAA's goal/assist threat?
@@dewuyi1794 You underestimate Arteta and the home fixture factor. If you actually watched Liverpool games and not just the highlights, you could easily see that their defense is actually their biggest strenght and that they kinda struggle with creating chances. Also, they had BY FAR the easiest opening fixtures out of any team. Let's see how they do away against another title contender. And yeah, I'm a Liverpool fan btw.
The problem this year is all the Premium players are going nuts 🥜 Hence why plenty experts struggling! Trying to be clever with trades ! Missing out on big Hauls ! Salah , Palmer , Saka
This is why non-Haaland is a decent strategy - yes we've got lucky with him completely blanking lately, but without him you can afford 4 premiums (and still have a decent team) instead of 2 (him+1). Very aware it's likely to mean a tough week this one, and it does rely on picking a returning captain most weeks to counter his big hauls. I'd still rather have the broader options over any few weeks, at least while money is tight 👍
