Yes I am a sailboat owner once again(for the 6th time). A 1981 Com-Pac 16 MkI. 16 is the new 30? Well maybe if you are on a tight budget. Follow along as we give this little lady some TLC.

I'm working on a '79 Compac 16. The mast support on mine was an issue. Two bolts through the support post into a completed rotten stringer. Got that taken braced up, now working on getting all of the moisture out of the concrete ballast in the keel so I can patch and apply new bottom paint.

At my age i'd have to lift the cabin up 3 ft. and install a head making it able to stand up and those 1/4 births need more room ! lol

My compac 16 also had problems with the floor being flooded and a bilge pump works really good.

Are you going to drill a hole in the hull to get the water out? I’m restoring a 1978. It’s finally in the water only to have a problem with the engine. It’s always something.

@@paullambert5341 There already is a hole in the keel with the concrete showing that needs to be repaired…so yes.
