Your videos are so chill, come, and poetic that make me feel so well. They can heal my soul. Thank you so much, I'm so glad that I discovered your youtube channel.
In my opinion your dish came out looking even nicer than the one on the recipe book! Your passion towards cooking always inspires me to experiment with food ☺️
@@LinnainJapan thank you my lovely. I am currently baking a very large birthday cake for my brother in laws 60th birthday tomorrow. All chocolate and caramel. Decorated in many chocolate pieces on top. I wish I could show you, the boys eyes would certainly light up 🤩 (I orig trained as a chef and had my own cake business too)
Is it crazy that I enjoy watching other people grocery shop? Those were the biggest carrots I’ve ever seen! Loved your video, I’m new to your channel! From Texas USA ❤
Thank you for your videos. They are are so calming. Your camera work and editing is very good. Are you professionally trained ? Thanks for taking the time to make and upload your videos dear Linn.
Happy Saturday Linna!!!!! I'm so excited you posted, I love watching your videos!!! I hope you, your boys and husband have a great weekend my friend much love from the USA 🇺🇸 (Florida)
Loved one on one “dates” with my parents 💚💚 my favorite thing to cook with my cast iron is fried chicken or corn bread. I have a book with recipes I can’t wait to try! Thank again for letting us take a glimpse into your life 💚❤️
My eyes perked up at fried chicken and cornbread 👀😍 I've never been good at frying my own chicken, maybe it's just been the wrong pan 🤣👏 Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
I love your videos because they inspire me and make me feel comfy about to be a housewife. Thanks for sharing your day and cozy moments with us 💖 Greetings from México 🇲🇽
Things I have noticed from your videos (and I've never been to Japan). 1) Food quality looks excellent, from the apples to the Salmon. 2) Restaurants in Japan look so clean and tasty. 3) You sure seem to keep a quiet and efficient household with a great husband and kids.
Your lunch date with S looked so fun. I love sashimi, too. The squirrel dish you picked up at the kitchen store was so cute. I don't think I could have passed it by. Thank you for sharing your cooking adventures with us! Blessings to you and your family from the United States.
How fun to have a lunch date with your son. The tempura looked delicious. I love reading cooking magazines or books. It’s so enjoyable to me and I love making new recipes. Your dish looked yummy but if it was supposed to be a soup, perhaps stir it a bit more? 🤔 You are so right. Anything worth having or doing, takes work. The old adage of “If at first you don’t succeed, try try again” is so true. There is no shame in failing. The shame would be if you didn’t try again. Thanks for posting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. ❤️
I really appreciate that you add the price of your groceries. It seems most items cost more in the USA, especially fruits and vegetable and meats. I love seeing the different foods you prepare with all the fresh veggies. I get wonderful ideas from your channels. Thank you!
Many friends from USA and EU told me the same. Our prices increase are very mild in comparison, which I am thankful for 🙏 I am so glad you enjoy my cooking 🍳 I have great passion for cooking (and eating) 😂🤣🤣🤣
I love your videos 🥰 I have been following you for a long time. We don’t even have that Royal brand of jam here in Denmark, so I can’t tell you if it’s any good. But we do jams and marmelades well here and VERY sweet 😬😂
love how there are so many choices for ice cream in Japanese grocery stores! by the way, late last year, Mitsukoshi mall opened up in my country and i just find it so cool that some of the ice creams you usually pick up on your grocery run are now available here. one of the ice creams i tried was the Ghana ice cream and it tastes so good 😍😋
I love watching your videos and your family as so sweet. Your a beautiful woman. I tried matcha for the first time and loved it. I wish we had matcha treats and could by some of the groceries that Japan has. Blessings to you and your family.
Linna, I love to try new recipes! I'll make it exactly the way the instructions show the first time, and then if I choose to make it again, I might try to change it in some ways to make it better fit my taste. If you make your chicken wing/cabbage soup next time, you could always add more soy milk to make it brothier, if that's the texture you want. It makes me incredibly happy to watch your vlogs and know that someone across the world loves the same things I do! Only the best and happiest for you and your family! 💖💖💖💖💖
Your food looks delicious! So much fun to watch you create the recipe from the book. I noticed how interesting you were ice cream is there. Here we do not have so many exotic flavors. Also your cookies look very good as well. Sending greetings from Florida! Cindy 🙋♀️🌞💐
As always I enjoyed this. I like the other one with your cooking but I love watching you interact with your children. I also love your shopping very much too. Take care
I tried salted kelp on chinese spinach with maitaki mushrooms. A little sesame and it was really yum. I am going to try bonito flakes soon all thanks to you! I even have dashi, black vinager and salted koji
The cookies you bought on your trup are so cute! That Hokkaido restaurant looks so good. I love restaurants like that. It's like travelling but close to home. I always have those cooking hacks; add some fresh ingreafients to an already made package and it's a quick meal. For busy moms it can be a life saver. Nikuman and kabocha soup sound delicious! I think I'll try that for lunch soon. I have an easy make in microwave kabocha soup recipe that can be made in a couple of minutes :) I also have a similar carrot soup recipe. Such a good way to get more veggies in a meal. I'm thinking of looking for that cookbook on amazon. I have a Dutch oven, most households have one here, but hardly ever use it because I don't cook much traditional Dutch food and wasn't sure how else to use it, perhaps there is some cooking inspiration in the recipe book.
Hi Linna! Another great video. Your dish looks really nice. I make a similar with chicken breast, called chicken ala cream, and rice as a side dish. I love your dates!! My 4,5 son and I go on dates almost every weekend. We go to the playground, to shopping malls and for lunch in KFC or Goody's, which are Greek McDonald's. And of course for Greek souvlaki! It is important to spend time with him because we talk a lot and I'm trying to make him more sociable! I am looking forward for your next vlog! Take care! Anna 😊☺️😊!!
I totally understand and agree!!! Sometime I feel like I am such a worst critic 😅 while the boys still enjoying their food 😂 Reading your comment make me giggle because it’s so alike 🤣
Sometimes make cloudberry jam that I make cloudberry cream out of,as for the jam brand we sometimes have it and it is good but I prefer Lerums or Noras when it comes to factory jams
Hello Linna Another great video you have here. the snack shop looks like heaven to me, with so cute packages. The meal taken with your son looked wonderful, healthy, tasty and delicious, can you tell me if the miso paste is pure miso or mixed with something? Because I've already seen you also put some for some meals but I don't know if it's 1 sauce or a miso paste like for the soup?! And I am also amazed every time by the size of certain fruits and vegetables which seem enormous to me compared to France. Have a great weekend and start of the week
Thank you 🥰 Miso paste I mention is Miso that had blended with DASHI powder. I have a vlog showing I buy most of the foundation seasoning for my cooking You can check it out 🤗 Buy Basic Seasoning for Japanese Cooking, Make a Japanese Lunch | Living in Japan Vlog ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jKkrJGtHsas.html
you wondered about your new recipe and why it wasn’t more like soup - two ideas - is it possible that your new pot heats up much faster than other kinds of pots you’ve used and perhaps it stays hotter - that might evaporate more of your liquids - also - for a soup recipe there really wasn’t very much liquid added (just oat milk no water ?) esp if it’s a recipe supposed to be for four portions - if this was something you wanted to cook again - could you add water as well as the other liquid - my soups are mostly broth based which is usually 1 broth 3 water - not sure about “milks” to water ratios - whatever the problem was - am sure you’ll figure it out - it really did look yummy 🙏🇨🇦
You sound like a cook too! It is always a learning process, sometimes dishes I have made thousands of times can come out different with just one ingredient off, like a stronger-tasting onion!!! So many elements at play when cooking, that's why I love it! These are good suggestions!
@@stella448 no cook Stella - just someone who prepares their own meals - some days succeeding more than others - I stumbled upon the videos of this young woman and her delightful family while looking for instructional cooking videos wanting to add more / varied vegetable dishes into my meals - I love that she enjoys preparing meals for her young family and that they enjoy her efforts - knowing that these cast iron pots / pans were a new addition to her kitchen made me wonder if they might be part of the problem - similarly the amount of liquid we saw her add didn’t seem enough for the kind of soup this farmer’s granddaughter is familiar with - could even be that Linna has figured out she missed adding water in her eagerness to make something new for her family - it may not have been soup that first try but it sure looked yummy 😃😉 hope she lets us know in a future video how her second attempt goes 🙏🇨🇦
Thank you for your advise 🥰🥰🥰 That was the kind of cooking that do not add any water, to make use of the power of cast iron, but you guessed it right. I think my heat might had been too strong as I am not used to the cast iron. Your advices were very precise and thank you for sharing your knowledge 💛🥰💛
@@LinnainJapan you’re most welcome - many of your recipes may be unfamiliar but the process of cooking is often the same - glad we can all learn from one another - have been inspired to cook with more cabbage (in 🇨🇦 it’s often just a salad vegetable) so ‘the soup’ caught my attention - here’s to our successes with cast iron in your kitchen and cabbage in mine 😂🤣
Theres so much plastic used in japan for example for the veggies. Thats so unnecessary and bad for the environment. Thank you for spending time with us linna !
