As with all online or eBay purchases, buyer beware!
I recently bought a vintage 1960 Gillette FatBoy from a seller on eBay who neglected to mention that the head of the razor and the mechanism was damaged in such a way that it was unusable in its current state. So, I’m having to send it off to the folks at Razor Emporium to fix the mechanism, clean it up and make it shave ready. It will cost $39 for this service, which is MORE than I paid for the razor to begin with.
So, if you buy a vintage razor on eBay, be ready to pay more if it’s not in good enough shape to shave with. That great deal you got for the razor may have another price tag attached to it.
