No. I just made it with scrap material laying around.

It’s called C-fine salt. About the size of grains of rice. Very little issues clumping but I keep it in the garage and dry. If I do get clumps they are easily broke up with your hands.

Never used sand in it. Salt works pretty good. I’d imagine if you set it right it would run sand really good because sand doesn’t stick together.

@@normanbanks8902 Great! Thank you! I used salt in one of those things you walk and it never clogged so I assumed this was similar. I’ll see how it goes.

Can you cut it down to a 10 foot swath.

There’s no setting on it to tell you how much product you’re putting out. I’ve put this back for salting our road and driveways.

I used a manual choke cable to open and close the gate on my spreader. I drilled a hole in the driver's compartment and permanently mounted the choke cable control and just roll up the cable and secure with zip ties when not in use. I'm using the same spreader and it works really well.

Any update on whether you could run sand through it?

@@terrychristle1477 I don't know why you couldn't. It wouldn't know the difference and actually it would be less corrosive than anything else. Give it a shot the worst you'd have to do is hose it out
