Hello my friend, I’ve been doing the same, traveling is a passion to visit the Rolex ADs in the hope of having the chance to buy these models. But I have been put down several times. I felt sad and sometimes questions why I am mesmerized by these timeless pieces. Watching your videos gave me hope. I wish I have a friend like you who understands this passion. I’m still trying to buy these at Rolex ADs and until such time that I can no longer travel I will never stop dreaming! Congrats!
A brand that both watch guys and regular consumers both hate and love. But for you and your friend, if the goal is to make memories around an icon, well that's what really matters is that your enjoyed the journey and started a new one.

@@4symbols78 I would like the white dial. The A.D that I had my order with and had purchased several Rolex's from ( Including a Day -Date 2 41mm) lost their contract. Must now start all over again developing a relationship.

Congrats on the watch and amazing story. Kind of jealous. Here in Taiwan, can't even get a sports model. Was on multiple list for a Sub for 2 years and went to check in at my AD and my names mysteriously disappeared from basically all the list. Stopped by every few months to have a good relationship and etc. They said they have a new rule that you must buy a two tone datejust in order to be on the wait list. Ugh
Honestly to hear stories of people begging and pleading with sales associates at rolex for the opportunity to buy a watch it makes me cringe with embarrassment. Rolex should implement a proper waiting list so people don't have to lower themselves to this. They won't though, as having people scramble round like desperate idiots just adds to the mystique of the band and its desirability. In my honest opinion as a watch collector I'd say rolex resale prices put them out of your price range then buy something else, there's plenty out there that is better for the same money.
I’m the owner of many luxury timepieces, a Rolex Date Just dress watch, a GMT ll, and 2 Cartier’s a Roadster and and Calibre Diver. I wanted to purchase the GMT ll Batman Jubilee. However the gray market has fucked the price to near double, with no Authorized Rolex dealers having any in their showcases. This is complete bullshit! The price for this style has been completely blown up by demand and Rolex sits back and allows it. Don’t even get me started on the idiots wearing clones. I saw one the other day and pointed it out to the gentleman wearing it and he denied up and down it was a fake. I pointed out the depth of the numbers on the bezel were too shallow and the numbers themselves were not straight around it. I asked him if I could hold it and I took off my GMT and allowed him to hold it in his hand first and he immediately had this look on his face as if he was going to throw up. I told him that the weight of an authentic GMT is much heavier than the cheaper steel they use on even the nice clones. He said he purchased it from eBay. I told him he got ripped off! He paid a lot of money through the wire. This is what frustrates me, I wear a nice watch because I appreciate craftsmanship and precision. Not because it shows status. You pay for a luxury timepiece, because it takes money to make it. Now the gray market has pushed the watch I want I to demand and supply heights, where you’re now getting gouged for a multicolored ceramic bezel and a blue GMT sweep hand, with an added 2k for the jubilee bracelet that Rolex themselves changed to over the the 3 link style. Thanks Rolex!

How many links did you take out of your bat girl, my friend has a 7 •5 inch wrist and when he got his bat girl he didn’t have to take any links out . He is worried it may have previously been sized and they forgot to give him the spare links
