Beautiful watch, thanks for the video. He got the better of the two choices IMO. I'd never support the gray market though. No matter how much I like the watch. Too many brand new watches for sale there, which shows how dirty the game is. That goes for shoes, show tickets, etc....

Hi Niko! I love that piece, the beauty of that dial display is just amazing! By the way, I would go for the 5712 because of the de-centered oscillating mass displayed of the movement, another real beauty. I started to comment because I think I saw somewhere, I don't remember where, that Patek had adjusted their watches deepness resistance but guaranteeing those meters, something I think they weren't doing or something like that. I have a rep of the 5726. The blue is a bit off along with the color of the moon phase but I love it. Hopefully one day I can afford a gen although $100k is pretty wild. Still down from the market peak though where they were running at $125k on the low end 😮 Edit: I stand corrected. $272k?!? For an SS model is absolutely wild
Hi. First of all congratulations on probably the best grail watch! Actually love your AP Royal Oak as well. Such a treat to see both in the same video. However, I had a quick question. As accurate the Patek is supposed to be, I'm not sure if it's my understanding or something might need to be checked on this particular watch. I'm speaking about the 24 hr dial at the 6 o'clock position. Are you sure it's not a second time zone feature? The reason I'm asking is, in the b rolls, the time on the watch was mostly set at 1:45 or 1:50 PM. Which is 10 or 15 mins before 1400 hrs. However the 24 hr dial was past the 1400 hrs and nearing the 1500 hrs mark. Maybe a quick check at the dealer can fix it. Didn't intend to scare your friend or make him feel bad about his purchase. Just want to ensure no one else points this out to him. :)
Amazing watch and certainly a grail, its a shame the watch companies cannot offer the watches to good companies because of not seeing them as "worthy!" enough, the watch experience in a boutique and buying from store is so good its not to be missed. But when they wont let you buy it......i think its time to bin them off and move on. I moved away from Rolex and others and to JLC, you can a watch, if they dont have them theyl make them for you and the history and service is amazing.

Love your honest channel with consistent content - amazing watch as are all your watches. I can’t afford anything in the price range of your channel but I live vicariously through your content. I have a small 3 watch Omrga collection with the Speedy 3861, a white dial SMP 300:and the blue teak dial Aqua Terra - not anywhere near a Patek or an AP but I love watches and love my little collection which I have been able to afford after years of savings

Looking for some advice from y'all. Would you get a Yacht master 37 slate dial or for the same price, an Omega Speedmaster Reduced Automatic Sapphire and a Cartier Santos Medium? I have small wrists, don't mind getting the Reduced over the original Speedmaster. Thinking a black Speedmaster and a white dial Cartier Santos would do a good combo.
This is absolutely what is wrong with the watch industry. When you see this many watches in the secondary market office and not in a AD retail store it almost devalues the watch. This is precisely why the consumer can’t go into a AD and purchase a watch because they sold them all to guys like this. I will no longer purchase a Patek, AP or Rolex because of this, it’s absolutely fucking ridiculous seeing this many watches in the hands of a non AD. If your not offended then your not a real watch lover in my opinion.
IMO no other brand offers more value than Rolex at retail. Paying twice the retail price for a watch is not a win, it’s crazy but everyone does what ever they please with their money
I prefer Longines overall but FC does make some nice watches as well. Just picked the FC Power Reverse Big Date at a good discount a couple weeks ago and it’s really lovely! Definitely feel the brand is underrated.

@@Paka1983thats the change made this year . Was not earlier. This change created chaos early this year when patek anounced it during watches and wonders. Btw. Even all aquanauts are the same now to 30m.
@@Paka1983they claim that now 30m means real 30m in terms of diving. And not like other brands where its limited to splash. I know many use their aquanauts at the pools. Never seen any malfunction though.

I would never buy a Nautilus. It is not worth 100 k. For this price one gets much better top notch watches. Even a Rolex Day Date whatever model and configuration outplays the Nautilus by length. Not talking about heavy hitters from A.L. usw. The Nautilus as the Royal Oak are just over hyped watches.
Dude you meant to say 5396. The annual calendar Patek. I agree it looks much better. I like world time too, the 5130, Calatrava, aquanaut and ellipse. I don’t think this watch looks great.

Must be nice to be rich, can just walk into any store just whip out that CC and buy whatever. Meanwhile here in the US Americans can’t even afford groceries or medication. Before anyone jumps down my throat I’m not I repeat not attacking the Channel I love higher end watches, I just find it odd to show someone dropping $100k on a watch when 99.99% will never buy or be able to buy.
These are aspirational videos, it's nice for even common folk to be able to see what people with money can buy. It's all perspective and Id rather be able to watch something I won't be able to buy then not having the experience from someone who can... vicarious is a word that holds true
