I get the feeling that Calvin knows that this guy knows more than he’s letting on. Calv is obviously much more thorough than he lets on during these test drives (can see him processing the faults as he drives 😂). A broken car makes good content for the channel though so we get to enjoy a few more vids out of it. Top work 👍

My old car, spend some cash and it’ll be ok. Defo needs Bushes up front, and the tyres are shot. fella didn’t test drive. Not tuned Mileage from 2014 is legit. Had a hard life though🤣 water pump is the failure on mot, coolant leaked into the loom and replaced to sell, didn’t buy the 140 new. Bought it while we couldn’t find the water pump issue because I got fed up driving my girlfriends abarth😂 I put the wheel on and coded cruise in. I sold it cheap to sell, not 15k he could still make good money. Don’t think it’s the box personally.

These 135i and 140i have ended up with the parked outside council houses, next to the broken fridge and motorbike engine, hands down the front of their grey egg stained tracksuit bottoms whilst wearing white socks and flip flop crowds. I’ll never own a 140i again. Their time has been and gone. Oh and the man bag , forgot about the man bag and neck tattoos

Hi Calv, not to be negative but I think the car vert and other checks are a tad misleading or the way they're being portrayed. So many cars are Salvage but unrecorded.. I know, I buy them. My daily transporter is one. Maybe some people think if its clean on there its never been hit but that's not the case. Likewise a heavy damaged repair through insurance won't show either. And the same damage that would be repaired by insurance would be a cat n if the cars value were less say if the same car was 6 months older. Quite a lot to think about for buyers. I mean it's not black and white.

Car vertical is great.... untill you get a car that's been badly repaired off record. I.e for cash etc so no records of damage.

Dont understand how traders know nothin about the cars theyre sellin these days.... like do yas not ask questions when buying the car? No idea if its tuned, no idea why it was painted? In all fairness if i was buying a car id be asking those questions 🤔😂

The amount of times the fella says "yeah I dunno" sets of alarm bells. Gonna take a guess at Flywheel and/or Floating release bearing replacement.

Not every accident cars are recorded and I’ve seen cars that are green on every ticks, but whilst looking you could tell its been involved in some sort of accident.

As the owner of a 2018 M3 F80 Competition in Yas Marina Blue that looks amazing. At 56,000 miles it should be driving straight and true but it might have hit a pothole or something to knock the suspension geometry out ? Interesting to see what Will says from VRS. Great video thank you.

I along with the majority of the comment section believe this guy knows more than he seems. Firstly, repainting a full car takes a lot of time and money especially when it’s a colour change, therefore people usually don’t do it unless some sort of repair needed to be done. Secondly, he accepted £10,500, which makes u think how much he purchased the car off of the previous owner for and if he’s talking about a healthy profit then why did he not get the car ready and sell it at a cheaper price than retail and still make a good profit? But I guess the next video we will find out.

Calv, you are one of the very few good guys in second hand car world! I don’t think I’ve ever made a negative comment about someone you’ve had on. But unfortunately that chap in my opinion is everything that’s wrong with a lot of the second hand car trade. He was happy to retail that for 15k to some young kid! Despite what he says, he knew that wasn’t driving right. If he genuinely couldn’t detect that, he really should consider going back to being a sparky.

That car could of been crashed and not recorded, no law states you have to inform your insurance… not saying it has but a floaty car that’s had a complete respray makes me wonder 🤔 easier to wrap a car than go to that expense for no reason… just my thoughts…

Some of you are far to sceptical, jeeeezzzzz. The guy just gave P of D £500 for us to have a shot at. What’s wrong with you? I really think Calvin knows very well what he’s doing, I don’t think he’d do a video with if’y content. It’s a bit like this, I just bought a Mercedes E Class, checked the car out and took it for a test drive (spent an hour with it) Done a Carvertical check (used CCD, thank you Calvin) I gave going money for it as the car came with a full Mercedes service history. In the first 4 months of ownership, it had a new battery, noxs sensor and two rear air bags. Total £1750, thank fully all covered by an AA warranty. I now have a car that will go from another 5 years 🤞🏻 Anyway, I waffle on 😂, peace out 🕊

SOOO if you put gear into the D and you hear a rattle or little noise but nothing when it sits in N that indicates a gearbox issue or drivetrain ?

Dammmnnnnnn This guy's getting some serious stick from everyone tonight😂😂 The car is nice and a respray means absolutely nothing and I know some of my my mate have bought cars brand new and they have gone straight in for a colour change because the manufacturers haven't got a specific colour or the colour isn't available for one reason or another. Tge lad talks and behaves like he's a good lad I don't see why he's a shady character 😂 Those car traders can sell a car with no wheels and get away with it😂 The cars a 2012 so I would expect a few things wrong with it but that doesn't mean the car was a wreck at some point or the lad knows what's going on with the car making a subtle rattle or the car wandering which could be anything underneath even a tyre that's not happy. Let's just see but the £500 notes was a nice gesture and the channel needs this sort if thing. I'm going with the car is fine and the gaffer Wil will find out why it's wandering and he'll certainly find any crash damage!!! Whenever I’ve had a BMW wander on the road. It’s been - tyres,, unrecorded damage/something bent, alignment - in that order. If there was new tyres on it, then I’d have suspected something bent.
