Cbcs - love verifying signatures - cause I love getting sigs at the cons & meeting the artists - but can’t Slab every book in the moment sometimes. Thanks again!
Always ready for a new video , hay ...anything that looks good & clean , send it out ....if anybody’s going to know what’s gonna do good it’s you Gary . Thanks for keeping it professional and entertaining for the fans....nice purchase .thanks for the hard work
Gary, to be honest, I really don't need to see the collection at the seller's address or even know the price you paid, what matters to me is that you purchased some great titles, both raw and slabbed. And in the UK, nearly every title you featured, is extremely difficult to find in high grade, so this video was great to see. I would love to see a video about the two books you are cracking, pressing and re-submitting, as I am always interested in the grading process and really appreciate that you share your CGC experience with us.
@@RKStud1350 I dont thin he downplays. He just sees these type 9f book on a regular bases. I was happy the 1st few times I saw 1st appearance of bane now I dont really care.
Just wanted to say a quick thanx for posting these videos. Not only are you entertaining but, you have a lot of information for me to use. I used to collect back in the mid-70's to the mid-80's. I was forced, against my will, to sell my collection in 2009. After keeping them in boxes, bagged and boarded all those years. Anyway, I'm starting to get my life back together and I've gravitated back to comics. I'm on a very very limited budget but, for me, it's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase. I love going to thrift stores, flee markets, yard sales, etc in search of comics. Your videos have helped a ton in what to look for as far as certain book as well as grade of the books. Again, thanx for your channel. You've given me lots of entertainment and information late at night after I return home from work. Keep up the good work,
Gary - like many who follow you, I watch mainly for educational purposes. What’s hot. What’s not. What your strategies are. Etc. I like hearing your thought process on particular situations. As well, it’s cool how you invite us to participate. Prices? Yeh, I ain’t gonna lie. I love hearing what you paid. But I see it as more of a bonus. Not something expected. Keep up the good work!
Gary I'm curious to know what you do with that Stan Lee signed Lethal Protector, im in the same type of situation, I have a copy of Lethal Protector #1 signed by Stan Lee, mine has a COA, But I have yet to decide what to do with it, so seeing what you do will help make my decision... Keep up the great work pal... Thanks
wow man! Jeez nice issues you got there! Loved the thor 337, hulk 377 and 340! He had a ton of great cgc books. Dude send that stan lee Venom off to CBSC! I got a lethal protector that I might send off, It might be even a 9.8. Can't wait for more videos!!!
Not a bad collection at all. Thanks for always bringing us along. You should do another story video of all of the worst collections or the sketchiest deals that ever went down. Stay well.
Very nice collection of slabs and raw books Gary. Cannot wait to see the video when you get the PGX slabs regraded along with some of those great raw books too.
I'd loved to have seen you flick through a few of those boxes. I've discovered a couple of awesome series' from seeing you just quickly foraging. That's the reason I watch these vids as I'll never be able to afford any these keys. More in-box content!
Love it. I haven't handled a comic book since I stopped collecting in the early 90's. There's still some lingering passion for collecting, so I'm vicariously collecting through you. Keep 'em coming!
Bummer when you see collections like this. I hope this 0erson didnt have to get rid of it because if everything going on. I have a feeling y0u will make out pretty good on this one.
I really need to check my 90’s books to see what newsstands I have. Have an ASM 300 newsstand and need to get it submitted to CGC to see what they will grade it. Nice books by the way, really enjoying your videos and collections your able to buy.
As for that Stan Lee Venom - I suggest seeing if that crunch will press out/clean around that sig and see if you can get that 9.8 at CGCS verified... It's like land my man - they ain't making any more [with his sig].
I know my envy is showing, but I'm pretty sure Colorado used up all of its "lucky collection finds" with the Mile High Collection decades ago. Now all I find are "Elflord # 17 comic book - $3" and "The Macronauts They Came From Inner Space. Battle Of The Bugs Comic Bo - $3" Yeah, Macronauts. You're finding collections left and right, and I'm crazy jealous!
Yeah... that leaves it open for forgery still... I wouldn't submit anything for verification without it having been witnessed, but that is just personal preference
Those are some awesome books!! I would love to have some of those. I say send in the Venom #1 to CBCS, if for anything, the experience alone. That book always looks great slabbed, especially with the Great Stan Lee's signature on it. Keep it comics!!
Shattered ASM 300? That means it's a recent collector - and not too many reasons a recent collector sells their whole lot like this... I hope they're ok, and doing ok. What a collection. Love to see what brought folks joy like that... just a really nicely curated collection. In the end, we're all just curators to these cultural time-capsules.
@@VeryGaryComics oh thank goodness ((I had to do the same thing with my warhammer stuff, so I knew it was one of the reasons haha! honestly... one of the best reasons, having experienced it :) ))
soooo coool. I know you can't talk money, but I picture myself shelling out big money for this collection. Wow! The keys! I'm a big spidey fan and have a lot of those issues; but to see multiple copies -- yowzer! Very cool... I'd send the signed venom to cbcs and do a video about it; how's it different, cost, market ... it would be a good video and feature a Stan Lee signature!
Couple grand and climbing with the small amount you flashed on screen. Damn good buy! Is submit that signature to cbcs for sure. At this point it's less about protecting the book and more about conserving that signature.
GOOD LORD, you find 'em....Glad you are sending out the AMS 129. You mentioned sending another. Will the be AMS 50 to get them out from under the PGX label? Or the Uncanny X-men 116 to get it out from under a red label? Anyone got $60k lying around...there's a guy here in FL looking to sell his collection. It's always nice to see the VGC empire grow! Soon you can quit your day job. I bid $100 for the Venom Lethal Protector signed by Stanley. Heard he has a big following in the community. I thought Stanley was on big in the tool industry, #20KIN2020
Nice books! I'd be hesitant to send the Stan Lee signature to CBCS since they often times have trouble verifying his signature since it's been so inconsistent over the years.
Why do you want the 4th or 5th print of Superman Doomsday comic? I remember back then you could buy a Big package of different comics mainly the Superman doomsday ones, 3rd-5th printing at Sam’s Club. I have multiple of them bagged and boarded in short boxes, in my childhood bedroom. I was mainly a Batman fan but my mom suggested I get the “Death of Superman” comics like my brother. My mom actually bought 4-5 of the big packages for an “investment”, there with mine bagged and boarded. I wish I new exactly what comics I have up there. I’m gonna start a data base for my comics like I have for my movies.
I'm rebuilding my McFarlane run in ASM after having to sell off my collection a couple years ago to pay med bills. I'm down to the expensive issues, 298-301. With the way the prices have jumped this summer, this is gonna suck! :)
Great find!!! Great video as always!!! I'd sell that Stan Lee signed Venom: LP #1 raw. Since it's not a 'for sure' 9.8 AND it's possible that the signature could come back as a fake, I'd just move it as quickly as possible. A 9.8 is worth it.....anything else is not. My humble opinion.
