@Greg Charles you are probably right. I have worked for a few different departments though and while some were better then other most (especially the 100% paid) always strived to be professional and good at what they do. I have since quit as a career firefighter/medic but still volunteer in my small town and even they do there best to be the best with what they have.

@@beedarko I will tell you one thing though, there was a time I lost my humour and nearly took my life after a bad call, and it took a while to get it back. You need humour to survive any of the tough things life can throw at you.

There's no doubt he's living his best life. I'm in my 40s and just discovered this channel and look up to this young man. I'm proud of him for being himself. It doesn't look like he caves to any oppositional political group or social group and I just cannot say that for many individuals or channels.

As a former Firefighter/EMT I found this eye opening. I now know if any of the situations even had taken place (diving through a bay door, losing control down a hill hitting a tree etc.) how the engine would have held up. Thank you W.D. for that. Keep these videos coming they are awesome hahaha

Guess it just depends how you look at it. Most ppl would prolly think like you though and think you can’t do it cause they haven’t done it. I own a Tow company with my father 50/50 and I own a Small custom Laser Engraving & Embroidery Business by myself. And now we’re looking to open up another business. I work maybe 15 hours a week and it’s light work

Current full time firefighter and watched this video while on shift. Absolute perfect ending to that old fire truck! They don't have much of a purpose when they get that old anyways. Thanks for the laughs
The only thing my station repurposes is gear. We send it to volunteer firefighters in the Philipines and other similar nations. Those guys fight fires in flip flops and t shirts, so send expired gear and tools is like christmas to them. These old trucks would be too expensive to maintain or ship over there.
@@kolumbus445 no source. I sold farm equipment for 15 years and know that in farm equipment a fire is usually a good thing. Especially when the equipment is worn out or needs a major overhaul.
Crazy how just a few years can grow this guy’s channel. I remember just a few years ago my brother was showing me this guy build homemade insane wheels now he’s getting tanks and wrecking airplanes and g wagons. This dude is the definition of making it big, doing damn near anything he wants. The reason all the old folks don’t like him is because they did stuff like this when they were in their 20s but they couldn’t afford to do it like this guy. im an old guy who did this on an affordable level in the 70s/80s..........I LOVE THIS GUY.........TBH, you havent lived until you use a gas nozzle/pump as a fucking flame thrower ,did burnouts against the pit silo wall till the wheels pop or bum start a van by running into it full speed with a loader tractor then use it to jump rail road tracks then jam it into reverse going 50-60 miles an hour forward.....destruction is cool,its even cooler when its someone elses stuff
My uncle who is .. or was… a firefighter. Retired now due to injuries. got wrapped around the leg and drug by a hose when a neglectful driver drove away with it uncoiled still
oh usually when you see somebody do something that is blatantly insane, its quite the opposite. theyre completely normal. atleast most insane people have high levels of common sense.
My drivers Ed teacher when a student went through an intersection and didn't look both ways would yell, "FIRETRUCK" at the top of his lungs ha.. The clip at 1:50 reminded me of that. He had a police scanner in the car. He had us listen to people getting robbed, shot at, and road rage incidents. He told us it will toughen us up out on road.
