The dun colored mare with the unweaned cream/pearl filly was my favorite. The filly had that same spark of curiosity and intelligence that Farouk has. I wonder what the "boys" would think of a "girl" coming in their lives. Farouk would probably be very gentle and protective. My second choice was the dark filly from Scotland: she has a very nice conformation and bundles of energy.
I liked the warm blood filly. Nicely put together and beautiful mover. Also although mares can be a little more ‘independent of thought’ at times I find once you make a relationship with them, they’re very loyal and affectionate.
Love the Warmblood! A lovely mover. It must be exciting and frustrating at the same time, shopping around for young horses! You are probably between being very keen, and having to wait for the right fit for you! However, I could think of worse dilemmas to be in! Good luck Tara. :-)
Oh so many beautiful young horses- and their mums! Loved the young colt in England. And the warmblood filly. Very sweet - and the mare is beautiful, too!
I love the muddy colt. So curious! Doesn't seem to have been handled much though. The warmblood filly is gorgeous too. Thanks for taking us horse shopping with you!
How exciting. Thanks for sharing your journey/search, your specifications. How lovely they all are, even the one you say is going through an ugly duckling stage. The Apricot/Pearl and the Cream/Pearl have a magical (unicorn?) look about them. Looking forward to future "search" videos. We've had the driest February in 156 years here in California. As we are a drought prone area, I'd gladly swap this t shirt weather for some rain.
Oh my, that first pearl colt is a beauty... The unweaned foal had lovely movement. The English pearl colt has a very noble head. The warmblood filly looks to be a runner, huge stride - her and Farouk would probably get on like a house on fire!😊 All the very best in your search - looking forward to seeing your final pick. Hope the weather improves. I have been watching the floods in Shrewsbury, I lived there 30 odd years ago. They used to have floods like this, then they put a flood defence in, however, I suspect that due to building on flood planes upstream the River Severn cannot safely overflow onto meadows and wild areas like it used to, so it rises higher down stream and is now over what they predicted the barriers could hold back. Price of progress unfortunately.
Ohh Tara this is so exciting!! They all looked beautiful however for me, I liked the 8 month old cream pearl colt. Then it would of been the colt that was going to get to 17hh lol love the tall ones 🤣 Thank you so much for taking us along with your search. ❤❤❤❤
How fun! My favorite was the warm blood filly but if thinking purely of aesthetics, seeing Apollo beside a Cream Pearl Andalusian would be stunning! Good luck on your search!
I totally agree. The colour contrast of the 3 together is perfect. I love Apollo he's my favourite, x Totally non horsey experienced fan here.. Just love horses. My spirit animal. Equine therapy is like no other experience. A bond with a horse is truly beautiful. I was lucky enough to have that with a friends dartmoor cross. He has sadly since passed due to anaphalactic shock.. Bee sting. Broke my heart. Totally unique bond xx
I would choose the Warmblood filly. I like the way she moves and she seems to be very mentally alert and aware but not over reactive. Her confirmation is lovely.
WOWZA!!! I'd be partial to this one the first one, pearl color. My goodness... He looks just fine to me. Plus THAT color! 🌴 oh I could definitely see where your favorite is the Golden Pearl. Crazy good! Yes, all of these horses are beautiful! We have lots of ticks in Florida. Jsn My dogs have to be on oral medication for the control of fleas and ticks.
I really liked the apricot filly. She looked very fresh and independant for her age. The creme colt seemed to be more skittish and dependant of the other horse (his mum?). Unfortunatly the shine in the pearl colors doesn't "travel" well from sunny Spain to rainy England (or Denmark). I needs the sun to really shine. Exciting to see, what you choose 🌞💕
Tara, This video is fascinating! I see many parallels to the dog show world. (You may recall I showed dogs in the United States and Canada back in the 1970s.) I loved seeing the different coat colors...many for the first time! My favorite was the warmblood filly at the end. She looks and moves a lot like her mother. When I bought a dog from another breeder......I examined pedigrees, noted the conformation, temperment and movement of individual puppies and their parents according to the breed standard (Lhasa Apso). I observed puppies interacting with each other and asked questions about diet, exercise, coat texture, grooming and social interactions. I viewed their health records and had my own Veterinarian examine the potential puppy before signing the purchase contract. Your search is off to an excellent start! Looking forward to the next update!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
As much as I love the apricot and pearl colors, what a nightmare trying to keep them clean. It's hard enough keeping two horses clean, much less adding a pearl to the mix especially since all of your riding is outdoors and whatever Mother Nature decides to give you. Just a thought. 😉
Love both the warm bloods. Shame the Colt is going to grow to tall I love his movement. The filly very sweet moves like a little pocket rocket 😂. Exciting times Tara looking forward to meeting your next challenge ♥️
Well, I‘m not going to lie, I wouldn’t be sad, if you buy that little cream filly! I can already see her, prancing around Apollo and Farouk, being a completely adorable little nuisance 😉
Aww they're all beautiful foals Tara, you have to make the right choice for you, all l can say is good luck lol, it's not going to be easy, l,m enjoying coming on the journey with you, tfs x Julie
It's going to be exciting no matter which one you buy. Going along on the shopping trip is exciting for me! I've never been a fan of light eyed horses or dogs. I find them harder to read than dark eyes but that's just me. All of the foals were very nice and I know when you lay eyes on the ONE, it will be a perfect choice for you. Looking at your past choices in horses is a good indication that the new one will be clean lined, intelligent and gorgeous. Thank you for letting us in on your shopping. I love it!!!
They're all very beautiful but that pearl😍😍😍 STUNNING! Where have I been 😂 I don't believe I've ever seen that colour before 🤷🏼♀️ I'm excited for you Tara, I can't wait to see the foal you choose 🖤💜🧡
I just came across this, obviously pre Bella. 😊 lovely to watch, there were some beautiful looking dams there along with their offspring. The pearl colour is lovely. Very cold here in NZ at present, thank goodness for my cosy logfire. 🤗
How exciting!! I bought a P.R.E 2 years ago and it’s the best thing I’ve ever Done in my life with horses. We are competing in dressage 😊 Before I used to ride and own Swedish warmbloods but honestly nothing compares to the mentality of a P.R.E. My advise, tough I know you’re not asking for any, is not to buy a warmblood bred for high level dressage if your goal is to go on hacks and have fun rather than taking lessons etc. Horses with Fürstenball (and other high level staillions) in their pedigrie are sensitive and athletic horses and not all of them can adapt to a life without harder workouts. Ofc as I’ve seen your videos I am well aware of your ability to take care of your horses! They are living their best lives at your place ❤️ I really just want to give you some good advices and my best advice would be to go for the P.R.E. Breed 😊 Also, sorry of you can’t understand my writing. I’m Swedish 😂
Hi Tara The warm blood filly or colt was very nice. I liked the Adulusian Double Perle coated filly and her Dam. Thank you for taking us along on your shopping trip. Much ❤❤❤ from Cold and snowy NW Indiana. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
It is interesting that you are looking at a warmblood! I had to give up the beautiful Yelena, a Friesian mare, as she was not going to be rideable for up to a year after injuring her stifle. I was willing to put the time in for her rehab but the person I bought her from wouldn't allow it.....long and sad story. However, today I am getting a 16 yo Dutch Warmblood for a week on trial and to do the vet check. She is 16.1 and of a very stocky build like this filly. She has a wonderful temperament and is not a real forward horse......which is what I am looking for as turning 68 in a month. I am looking at doing more hacks here as there is a lot of land available to ride on. It is not as pretty as where you are but I am very hopeful that she will come with a clean bill of health. You are an inspiration to me and many others here.....much appreciation to you and your boys! What will they do with a girl in their midst?? hehehe
Oh Tara, this was delightful. Thanks for taking us along on your shopping trip. LOL. Since you have narrowed down what you need...height of horse, no competitions, etc, that makes it easier. That brood mare that your friend might buy is gorgeous. But then, I have always been partial to the darker color horse. Loved the one that was at the end of the video...the one that you will go see soon. So excited for you. !!!
Making a beef stew and dumplings !!....well you did ask !! Lovely video, the cream pearl colt was my favourite, seems very bold, lovely Mum. Bittersweet watching it however since maybe Farouk would be going when the foals older, I can't imagine you parting with him xx
Hi Tara, aw aren't they all gorgeous, I'd be spoilt for choice too, they're beautiful, I love horses and I get such a buzz when I see them on my walks, maybe I'll see some babies this year as there are 6 lots of horses I can see depending where I go, aw I can't wait to see your baby when you get her/him, have a great weekend big hugs to you all xxxxxx
We don’t ride but always enjoy your videos. My older sister and brother-in-law has had horses for years. We’ve had dogs cats iguanas rabbits ferrets.fish of all sort. The kids had a ball g rowing up with all there critters. One of my favorites was my cocktails. Those were the days. As always Thankyou. 👍🏻😊
Oh! The PEARLS are stunning. My fave is the Pearl yearling first up and the apricot filly with the the beautiful roan? Mare walking on the concrete. The blue eyes! Oh my what a statement! The bay filly would suit competitions because she is sensible and plain, many warm bloods around. But for something that could nearly eclipse Apollo if that’s possible and stop traffic a Pearl horse under saddle being ridden down your lanes and bridleways is an exotic masterpiece. Good luck with your choice. Don’t be sensible ha ha! You could be singing “My baby’s got blue eyes...” as you walk out to the stables in the morning.
Ohhh - stunning photos & filming of these beautiful foals & their mothers. This has been so uplifting for me to watch. How do you chose? Thanks again for taking the time to share this. ❤
Beautiful horses. I like the way they hold their tails up as they gallop around so cute😍. The 1st mum & foal are so beautiful & including the 2nd one both mum & foal they look so adorable 😍. The 3rd one mum & foal look like thoroughbreds love the 2 tone colour. So many beautiful horses 🐴 🐎 🐴 🐎 to choose from. But which one, decisions decisions😊☺️😊☺️🙃🙂 Thanks for sharing Tara. Hope you find your fur baby very soon. It’s all so exciting.🤩🤩🤩
Wow beautiful breed I’ve always liked them and from watching you etc and age wise this breed is perfect for you and your old bones Tara (sorry couldn’t resist) lol. I’m like you too can’t volt on or off them now,I’m so looking forward to this venture of yours so thanks for this clip 😎
A Fürsten Look/Fürstenball descendant is an exciting prospect, too, though. What a little gem that filly is! Meanwhile, in ‚unrelated news’, we’re going to make a little ‚field trip‘ this weekend. We kinda promised my nephew some snow, back in autumn...and since snow didn’t come to us...we’re going to chase it down. There is a region, slightly higher in altitude, just two hours or so away and we’re going to treck down there tomorrow and built a god darned snowman! Have a little fun, before the Corona Virus gets us all. I‘ve pretty much resigned myself, to getting it now. There’s been a confirmed outbreak near us and with a 5 year old in kindergarten and a sister in law, who works in still another kindergarten...and using public transport every day...there’s no escaping that thing. Not that I‘m too worried - I‘ll probably be one of those people, only getting minor cold symptoms, but I‘m sure not looking forward to being sick for a week or two, just when winter is finally over. And luckily, no one else in the family really is in a ‚risk group‘, either. Ah darn it. On with life, right? 😆
Louise Cassidy Yeah...I don’t even want to think about that. Will everything just come to a standstill, like in Wuhan? With shops and businesses closing for weeks? On the other hand you can’t just stay home preemptively, or you loose your job. And it’s going to be absolutely everywhere in Europe. How could it not, since they’re still allowing international travel and everything? They could have limited the outbreak to China, but that would have taken immediate and drastic measures weeks ago...and as we know, politicians rather wait and see and then do too little too late. I mean, of course that would have had severe economic consequences as well...but at least, without all the sick and possibly dead. Oh well...hope you have better luck in Australia - you’ve been through enough already this year!
Shopping for a foal! Very exciting. I liked them all, (had a couple of favorites, but not enough info to really say anything for sure) but will be very interested to hear how you make your decision. I suspect you are off on your holiday soon (if not already) … I hope you enjoy. It has warmed up here - only -15 this am, and forecast to get warmer over the weekend. The good news - we should not have more than four - six weeks of winter left … the bad news - floods are in the forecast for the spring! Oh well, I think I am safe where I live so am hoping that those who are in the path of flood waters are able to prepare and keep their houses and animals safe.
What beauties! I'm really looking forward to seeing the vlog when you visit the 2 babies in the next couple of weeks Tara. You will get more of an idea of which one to choose then won't you. I do like the bay filly but from a doesn't show the mud as much viewpoint really! The colt I think is an apricot is stunning. His mum's face is so beautiful and a beautiful colour - you'd have people taking photos of him every time you go riding I bet! And he is an Andalucian which is what you really like too. It's really exciting! Lots of love from Liz in Lancashire xxx 🐎💙💜
I love learning about how you go about searching for a new horse. I am excited to tell you I will be learning to ride in April. I am treating my daughter and granddaughter as well. I am also 60.
I love pretty colors, but my all time favorite horse was a Roman nosed, dog poop brown colored Appaloosa that I worked with at a rescue where we gave lessons to handicapped children. He was by no means attractive, but he was the smartest and most fun to ride horse I've ever met. He was also mean as a snake to just about everyone else, so him liking me definitely raised my appreciation. I could trail ride him with a hater, lead rope and bareback pad. With other riders, he'd sit, use trees to knock them off and BOY did he bite a lot of people. He brought me home once when I'd gotten impossibly lost in the woods. I miss my ugly, mean old horse.
Wow, what a fun time for you... picking out a new horse!😁 I remember when I found my heart horse... that was the best day ever!😊 At first I liked the apricot filly... and then I saw the warmblood! OMG...I love her!!💗💗💗
Lovely choices there. I think you should run a survey on what your followers would choose!! Personally I lean towards the warm blood, probably because that is the type I am more familiar with. The Andalusian's are truly lovely but to my eye the high tail carriage and pale eye is not appealing. Each to their own and love the fact you are showing us your possibilities. I am getting a new puppy in early May. Had to look long and hard to find the 'right dog'. It will be a female Lab to grow up with a big sister Choc lab we already have. Choosing a new family member is a serious business.
Beautiful pearls wow, the first one for color, the brood mare and foal is also a little beaut, sooo pretty...! Have fun and i cant wait for updates! Much love as always. Xx Love to Rens, Apollo Farouk and Ike xx
I have a lot of respect for you Tara. Your attitude towards your horses is just wonderful... You're so gentle and understanding, yet respectful and they adore you because of it x
When I shop on line I get garden tools or yarn! 😊 They are all so beautiful and I know nothing about buying a horse and without knowing their personalities, the little Scottish lass is my favourite. She looked confident and looked like she was gliding effortlessly across the paddock. What an exciting time!
Well, I never got to chose my horse and I know nothing about it except the gait and color. But I love the love the color of the Apricot filly; she seems quite spunky. But then there's the Cream Pearl colt who would be gorgeous next to Apollo! This will be so much fun to see what you finally choose! But then there's the Warm Blood filly who would hopefully be the right height when grown. Glad it's you choosing and not me. I'd bankrupt you getting them all!💓 But at least I got all my meat canning done yesterday, chicken and ground beef; tomorrow is potatoes. Then we wait for peaches to ripen.😛💜
Thank you for sharing your video...my top favourite, the colt featured last...my motto, buy the horse you want, if necessary a mounting block, and, the horse can be taught to bow, to let you mount from the ground. Best wishes!
Found it interesting to observe how differently the horses were handled in Spain and England. I would go for a warm blood, if it were my choice. All young horses are so lovely to watch.
The pinto is incredible! We owned a pearl Connemara!, Pinto had incredible confermation with a rump that wouldnt quit, superb long legs, pasturnes( easy ride), i would have bought him even though not into paints.
Hi Tara and Rens...Awww how cute....Must be so hard to decide which one fits the bill and will fit in with the rest of the family at home. Although apprehensive for you both...it must be so exciting trying to decide which one to choose. Hope you both enjoy this part of the journey. Bye for now !....💛💙xx
Many thanks to you and Rens for taking us horse shopping again. *hugs* I don't know anything about what a vet would see as a concern so this could be nothing but I thought I'd point it out to you. One the very first beauty, a lump on the right leg popped right out at me. I went back to make sure and yes I did see it. Time stamp 0:37-0:39 just under the chest and a little on the inside. Also the back left leg, where it bends(knee), seems far larger than the right one. Time stamp 0:53-0:54 and on the right leg, just above the hoof seems larger but this could just be the camera angle so I would have to have a better look to be sure. His good points are his kind eyes and I honestly after studying like this feel it to be very important that a horse will look at you. He also doesn't seem to spook that bad I seen when the handler shook the rope at him to back up. That virus can wipe out a whole stable! So your vet was spot on when telling you to stay clear of that one. Plus he seems to stumble like Farouk and I think he would be a bit to handle later on in life when he gets his height and weight.
@@Tara101 You're most welcome for the input. Many eyes at work see things that could be missed that might mean something. lol I also want to thank you for not being angry if I post more than once. : ) Sometimes it's because I've missed something that hits me later or they get to long for people to read. lol
Wow, Tara!! All that open air "window shopping" for a new companion meaning that y'all spent time with a variety of gorgeous horses. So much fun looking at the many variations in the equine world to choose from and I thought that many of the Moms looked better than their young, energetic youngsters. Other than Friesians, I love the look of two-toned horses where the body is much lighter than the legs, mane, and tale. There is something charming and classy about those variations to me. They remind me of the two toned cars of the 1930s that we would occasionally see in our travels Coast to Coast in the US. Some times collectors found them in mint conditions, but most of buyers' experience was in reclaiming the manufacturers' colors and upholstery. While it must take time and effort driving hither and yon, do you have a large sense of hope and excitement in the search? You and Rens have all the best wishes of people in most time zones of world sending positive energy for your hidden treasure, so we are going to see someone special in the stable eventually. (I won't say that we have baited breath because that always conjures images of people with rat traps clutched in their mouths. Ouch!!!) I loved this weeks video of grooming Apollo. He'd sure the epitome of masculine horsedom, isn't he? So sweet and gorgeous. The short ride looked lovely with the flowers edging the fields and everything so brilliantly green.
