Buying a half or whole hog? What to expect 

I know this video is long and has a lot of information, but I hope allows you to be confident in your purchase of a half or whole pig.
The following is what you can roughly expect for a half hog (double for whole):
35 Pork Chops (5/8" thick)
10 Pork Steaks
2-3 Pork Shoulder Roasts (3 lbs each)
16-18 lbs hickory smoked bacon
2 packages of Hocks
1 package of spare ribs
1 package of neck bones
10-12 lbs trimmings
Heart, Tongue, Liver, and Lard
