Should you buy a high-mileage Q50? Great question! There are a few things to consider including some benefits of buying a car with high miles as well as some of the drawbacks. I'll go over some that come to mind and ultimately give you my opinion and some advice when looking at vehicles with higher miles.

I have a 2014 q50 premium AWD 3.7 , brought it on marketplace with over 127k miles. Only major problem was the owner never changed the spark plugs OMG WAS THEY DONE 😮.

It all depends if the vehicle has been meticulously maintained regardless of brandon manufacturer. I for one are a firm believer of the VQ 3.7 Infiniti engine are very reliable when they are meticulously maintained. I currently have a 2015 Infiniti Q70L that I’ve driven over 170,000 miles and had very minimal issues or problems. I’ve replaced the alternator, battery, accessory belt tensioner drive belt pulleys, rotors and pads.

If you do your regular maintenance and take care of yo car you shouldn't have no problems at all its all about how you take care of yo car mines have 130000 miles and it stills runs brand new

I got a 3.7 2015 3 n a half years ago for 19.500 with 40k miles and have a five year warranty I’ve done the steering rack and the surp belt that’s it no other issues and the warranty paid for the rack and I’m only at 80k now still running strong I was thinking of changing the trans fluid but I’m not sure yet I’m scared to touch it

I just bought a 3.7 with 104k miles but the transmission fluid has never been touched. Factory fluid in still. Would you recommend draining or flushing now? Someone please help

2014 Q50 3.7 115k miles Rebuilt title! The owner Wants 7k for it!!. Also the owner of the car hydroplaned and only hit a rail none of the airbags deployed or nothing but the insurance put it as totaled because the damage was from front to back. Looks in good condition only a minor dent in the back of the vehicle which is easily fixable. Good deal or stay away? Q50-Q60 is definitely one of my cars I want really bad

Sounds like a good price for a potential project. Miles are a getting up there so think about potential valve body issues etc. if you’re not concerned considering the good price, go for it

Nothing out of the ordinary. Oil every 4500 miles or so. Rear diff fluid change ever 25k.

Bought a Black 2015 3.7 June 1st of 2021, with 83,000 miles on it, had to replace the valve body in the transmission 2 weeks after I bought it, luckily still under warranty with the dealership but other than that I absolutely love the car and haven’t had any issues besides that. I’ve put over 20,000 miles on it and it still drives beautifully.

@@MvnnyG good luck bro 🥲 my q needs a lot done because of the high miles, after I pushed it and testing it a bunch of stuff showed up like warped brake rotors (but that’s a wear item so it’s fine) airbag light, engine light , ect. Make sure you take care of maintenance first, look over the car fax and compare that with when fluids/brakes should be changed and do whatever’s needed. Check your oil and coolant levels regularly

Probably not that far off actually. If we’ll maintained and no oil or smoking issues, it’s probably ok. Always try to negotiate tho

Speed unfortunately I recently totaled my 2015 in a flood only had 70k considering a 3.0 but the possibility for major issues turns me off a bit I would definitely get an ext warranty but found a 14 sport with 98k all the options I didn’t have on mine since I had a base model also has nice aftermarket wheels & tires for 20k I’m very conflicted haha.

Carvana is priced a bit higher than normal, but they generally have nice cars and have a return policy as well so there is some security going through them!

Not often. People have had problems after changing the fluid and the manual says it’s a lifetime fluid, so take that as you will. If you’re not having issues, I’d leave it alone honestly.

@@pontiacmadeg8 It’s too much, but they are definitely higher than 7 - 11. Might find a private party sale around 10, but it’ll be 100k+ mileage. Dealer prices range from 13 - 18, depending on where he’s located.

No. Like I said in the video, people ask a lot of questions and I get the same questions over and over. Easiest just to address them all at once. Also broadening the channel is a good thing. It was never meant to be a how to channel or q50 parts channel. It’s just what people got used to-so then you ask if I’m running out of content because I break from the norm lol. These videos also do better than a lot of install videos. Why wouldn’t I do them?
