Please let me know what you think of the car and if anyone has any tips and tricks for this model or any maintenance I should get done straight away! Thanks for watching
The most common problem of L322 Range Rover is the air suspension. Once the air struts fails it can cause a leak that can drop the car significantly making it undrivable. If don't want the troubles of air suspension in the future you can convert it to ordinary coil spring setup
Welcome. To learn how to drive it off-road read the handbook. Carefully. Then read it again. It’s a complex, old and expensive car to maintain, but be patient ,it’s worth it.
Get in touch with high peak autos here in youtube. He cen help you out with whats wrong with it. Really great suv when everythings in order. Comfy ride too.
Been looking at a l322 3.6 asking price 4795,has had two new turbos recently fitted plus an egr replacement ,full service history. Would this be a good buy.
From the videos i have seen on youtube, change ALL fluids, (oil, transfer, gearbox) as soon as, egr's if its a diesel, you've prob already done this, but have a look a itsjoel, Sam's Motor & Machine, Harry's Garage, HighPeakAutos, Driveway Hustlers, Ben's Garage and for Classic RR ChurchHouseClassic on you tube - all excellent - i really would like an L322 - you are just few months ahead of me (hopefully)
Hi Hodgie! Thanks for commenting and your recommendations. I've booked it in for a regular service (oil and filters change etc) they will be changing gearbox oil but the Land Rover specialist I went to advised against the Megaflush approach (what's your opinion on those?) I love all of those channels and each played a part in inspring me to get an L322! Glad to hear you're getting one in a few months, keep in touch and let me know when you pick one up! Will be good to chat to more fellow owners :)
@@MoreGeorge Have heard mixed reports on the megaflush - I know Sam of Sam’s Motor & Machine had one done with positive results. TyredFormat is also worth a look as he seems to do all of his work on his drive, oh and Driveway Hustlers. I do honestly believe like Harry, Joel, Sam and others that the L322 is the best car/4x4 ever made, however it is a 10+yr old car as we know
Nice ride! I believe I understood you to describe it as a “59 Plate”. What does that mean? I’m in the states, so maybe that is something common where you are.
Yes British term! The number 59 in the license plate indicates registration was second half of 2009 (09 would be first half) Just a way of describing the age of the car!
Noooo George. You no I’ve been here since the start. But why a Range Rover 😩. Your a car guy you know how unreliable these are and expensive to fix. But congrats hopefully not riddled with issues.
Happy to help and provide advice. List will include EGR blank and remap, all fluids flush including a Megaflush on the gearbox. Contact me via Facebook 👍👍
thanks Rob! Would be interested to hear your opinion and reasons for doing the MegaFlush...the Land Rover specialist I spoke to said to stay well clear of them?!
Lots of debate over flush or Megaflush. I vote a Megaflush. Had mine done. No issues. If the gearbox is in good condition then no probs. Take it to Martin Hind at Dartford Transmissions and Autocare. Gearbox guru.
