Just save your money and wait for prices to drop. Don't buy more house than you can afford. Try to pay an extra $100 on the principal each month to shorten your mortgage.

NO you will pay on average 50k more.

That's incorrect. Currently the sale price is almost exactly 100% of the original list price. Check out the Market Update playlist on my channel for a monthly snapshot of how things are looking.

As a real estate agent I do help people moving to Minnesota find homes to purchase. I don't help with finding jobs or rentals.

I've been trying to move to MN for the past year and I can't get hired. I have a college degree with 10 years of experience and no company I've interviewed with would extend a job offer until after I went thru the expense of moving. Zero security.

I'm surprised in that field you're having a tough time finding something. Maybe you move here and rent for a bit and then they'll hire since you're living here? Or is there a tele-health option where you could work for a company anywhere in the US while living here? A good friend does something similar.
