St. Louis Park and Golden Valley need to be recognized for having very affordable housing and great schools. Homes do not go on sale very often as they are already owned and people do not like to leave these areas
I found a farmhouse VERY run down, in the country, with six acres. On the MLS, it shows that the annual property tax for this $350,000 home, is $7000!!!! Isn't that 2%?? I can't imagine paying $7000 a year! :( Oh.. and this was Minnesota, NOT Ca.
New Hope used to have a Red Owl and a Walgreens set back a bit from the corner of 42nd Ave. and Winnetka. When I was 4 (in the 1970’s) I snuck out of the house and walked from our house on Wisconsin Ave. No., down 40th Ave. onto the sidewalk on Winnetka. I managed to safely cross at the 42nd and Winnetka intersection thanks to a lady who got out of her car and put up a hold sign to other cars. She asked me if I was ok and I told her I was just meeting my brother and sister at Walgreens (which I was). My older siblings had been allowed to go get candy at Walgreens but my mom said I couldn’t tag along. So I told her I was just going outside to play and made my escape. Unfortunately, I never made it to Walgreens because I ran into my brother and sister just as they were leaving the store. Anyways, when I got home, I had to sit in the corner until dinner time as my mom wasn’t pleased. She still lives there (with my brother) in that house to this day.
Great place to live for sure. High cost of living, maze like neighborhoods and anti-social neighbors are my only nit-picks. No place is perfect. Cool vid LinM!
Orono, Minnesota we have one of the best school districts in the country. We have more Lakeshore on Lake Minnetonka than any city on the lake and we have a gorgeous park including a revamp golf course. Orono was a great place to raise a family. It’s very safe of living is high, but if you have the money Orono is worth the price.
That's actually one of the questions I'm not legally allowed to answer, unfortunately. I encourage folks to search up the area's crime statistics (usually found on the police departments' website) to determine if a neighborhood feels safe to you!
Ya know, I really don't know too much about Creative somehow! They aren't a small builder, but I just haven't seem to cross paths with them myself too much over the years. Sorry!
You know what? I am a regular viewer of your RU-vid Channel. I have seen all your videos and your content qualities are very good. I learned lots of things from you. Your channel has great quality contents but still it is not delivering its right audiences due to SEO problems. You should focus on your SEO so that You can get a big fanbase. Thanks.
I live in Eagan and it is the best place I have lived in my life and I have lived all over the USA including TX and FL. I love that there is like 4 parks within a 1/2 miles from my home. If you have a problem with Eagan then you are just a whinner who is never happy. Also I do not know why people whining about taxes. Other state get you in other ways and you do not have nice communities like this either. But even as a child my parent even complain about the taxes back in the 60's and then we moved and found out that overall those taxes were not that high after we found the true cost of living in TX. For example when I moved back here after living for 45 years in other places I had to pay out of state taxes. I was floored how cheap it was. If I had to pay out of state taxes in FL it would be 5 time more then here and then I was paying like $7000.00 for insurance on my home $200k home in FL. Meanwhile a lot of people who complain about MN never moved out of the state and lived in other areas.
I do not trust realtors… You are going to obviously try and sell people on moving to minnesota and claiming good things about Minnesota because your bottom line is to sell these people properties…. We are not stupid… Both my parents are realtors…
Hey so I’m poor and I live in the Minneapolis area thanks 🙏 for making us who live here feel like shit ,,, your very over entitled know it all the culture around those areas suck
Just moved from my townhouse in Blaine to a new construction in Blaine. Love it here. It’s just far enough away from the cities to get away from all the crime, but it’s just close enough to not have a super long commute to work. The traffic like you said has gotten much worse. I think the population has almost doubled since I originally moved here.
Shakopee Eagles club is fun! El toro is the place for Mexican food . I lived in Shakopee for years and it’s way better than Prior Lake. I lived there also. Made a small slice when I sold both homes and moved 2 hours West and love it because Shakopee was getting bad! Oh yeah if you like Chinese food you need to eat at the dragon cafe! Oh Wampachs off 1st isa great place to eat for a hangover!!!!
Tough news for the moment, alas... Really appreciate you consistently putting out these updates, Joe! It means a world to have such succinctly summarized information available in one spot. Hopefully better news to come soon :)
Any thoughts on Brooklyn Park...we want to buy a home in high 200s low 300s and put our touch on it. We are new to the state so not familiar with many areas! We like we're we are at now but those prices aren't here...Minnetonka Hopkins St Louis Park area!!!
Like any town/area there are nicer parts and less nice parts, but you can definitely find holes in that range and some with good fixer up potential. Much more than Minnetonka etc. 🥴😃
Oh no! Assuming you're under contract with an agent I have to be respectful of that relationship. In most cases there isn't a legal way to cancel on the sellers and if you did you'll almost certainly lose your earnest money. Of course, please check with your agent if you have one, or give me a call.
Thanks for the info, sir. I have been looking for places to move to (lived in the South all my life and am looking to make a life change) the last few weeks between Minnesota and Michigan, and have my prospects narrowed down to about ten cities between the two states. Eden Prairie is one of them! This helps make it seem all the more appealing.
@@LivinginMinnesota Thanks. I hope it is, too. But in terms of scenery (have to look further into job opportunities for a lab tech like myself before I can make a judgment, but it seems at least viable for now) and the aesthetics of where I would be living, Eden Prairie is looking perhaps the most appealing of all of my considerations right now. I am definitely looking forward to a generally colder and snowier climate, too.
