Hopes, dreams and wishes, so at least not every locker can be a huge goldmine. 😉Nonetheless you made some pretty neat finds. But you didn´t tell your lovely viewers how much you paid for the whole lot so they could get an idea of the input- output ratio. 🤑 What, you made another find of German WWII and early post war letters ?! Very good handwriting and easy to read ("Liebes Fräulein Graf..."), so they might be a good source for another "History Behind the Paper" video. Seems that these items know how to find an owner who gives them a new home again. 😃 Have a very good time, and see you on the next one ! 🖐Greets from GER, U.
I was shocked to find those letters! Randomly stored in between the sheet music, tucked away in an envelope. How they got there, not sure, but hopefully their contents will reveal a little story that I can share! Those letters were better than what I found at the flea market today :0) Not every day can be a perfect flea market day, but we keep trying!
Hi Renee. Not all Auction's are peaches 🍑 and cream. But at least you found some Coco Melon's babies in the box. I never saw the series. It wasn't a bad unit. God Bless you Renee. HUGS 🤗. Mari'a 🤗🤗❤️❤️😀😀😀🌼🌸🌺👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋
Some interesting stuff today, good stuff for the flea markets. You lifted that big bowl and I thought that would be cute for a bird bath, maybe for your yard Renee! Thanks for sharing your haul!😊
I remember finding bag after bag of nativity figures at the thrift store that one year. I still have many of them because the colors were so nice and some of the figures were different than the ones I usually see :0)
Any day with old letters is a good day! (In the short clip when you talked about the letter - ignoring the Halloween on your sweatshirt - you could've been a minister (t-shirt looked like a white collar)). I remember when I got my first job out of school - splurging on a nice briefcase. I carried it for a long time - and thought I was "all that." Then computer bags became ubiquitous. I think I donated it to a thrift store. You are correct about storing flammables - could be a danger to a lot of people including firefighters that might respond to a fire there. And that Tiki torch stuff is awful - a friend's cousin had a - let's just say - very bad experience with it. Fun to see what you bought - and you'll make some money. Never heard of those Cocomelons. They look like Teletubbies knockoffs. Do copyright laws allow a person to replay or use a very small amount of text / video / sound without it being considered infringement? Either way that must be such a pain to keep track of. Thanks for the video - enjoyed them both - hope you have a great Sunday afternoon and start to the week!
For copyright, RU-vid picks up after so many seconds (unsure of the exact length). I know in the beginning of my video making, you could barely hear a Cher song playing in the background at a thrift store and I was given a copyright strike. Essentially one either needs to remove the music for that portion or cut that portion out of the video if they want to keep the full monetization for themselves. Otherwise, Cher & her record label would keep some monies made from the video due to her song being played. Luckily RU-vid provides us with a large bank of copyright-free songs to choose from or we can pay for songs as well. Funny you mention laptop bags - I also recently donated my laptop bag from my old job. I don't need any memories of that corporate life hanging around! (I also just use one of my vintage bags now anyway.) Hope that you had a wonderful weekend!
It's fascinating to try & gain insight into the life of the one who stored these items. The mystery & intrigue is motivating as you just don't know what made it to storage vs what was discarded. I like your Halloween 🎃 shirt 😊
😮 Good lady. For your own safety. When cutting anything open w a blade. Cut away from your body always. Never toward your body. Working in freight I've seen some people forget and get a significant injury thst is totally avoidable. Just want to keep you safe!😊
I enjoy your channel you're so real and down to earth. I follow two other channels and you are my favorite. I recently started to follow Taco Stacks and enjoy his channel also.
You found some good things just not the best things. You always take a chance on units. Just like gambling weather it scratch offs, pick 3,4,5,6 but it’s fun to see if you’re a winner 🏆 Have a wonderful week. Good luck with your next unit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I bought 2 different $20 5x5 units last week at the same facility (in same hallway too ) so it was easy pick-up. Various Flea Mrkt stuff and the totes alone at retail would be more than $40.. Was a first for me too. Never found these before. Had a Glass case with about 20 Souvenier spoons displayed in it (Hawaii, Guam, the islands etc ) but altogether must have 150 or more in total. At least they don't take up much space to store... may have them for awhile. LOTS of spoons. Hopefully a few Sterling Silver... fingers crossed
The box containing possibly original musical compositions was intriguing. Those may have been left to the unit's owner by their grandfather and would be extremely rare and valuable to someone who collects original music. Definitely valuable as ephemera.
I've been enjoying watching your videos. Almost as much fun going through the treasure as winning a unit myself. And this way, I don't have to haul off the trash!
When I see you & Taco doing theses pallets & lockers, makes me want to try, come what may. Truthfully, I haven't ever seen them advertised, but likely some in the city. Hope you do well 👍👍
Some places advertise & others you hear by word of mouth. Not sure how things are run up north where you are at! I know those that operate "legally" here are supposed to advertise, but we know not everyone follows the rules :0)
Hello Renee. I’m sure you’ll get your money back on this unit no problem. But what really matters is how these letters from Germany keep gravity to you . I wonder if there’s something you’re supposed to find out through all of this . I find myself very intrigued by this all . Take care. And I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I went mushroom hunting but only found one. But that’s ok because I got out in the woods and relaxed. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🥰🥰🥰🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I wasn't expecting to find letters in that envelope! Very strange because those were the only German items in all of the boxes that I opened. Mushroom hunting! It probably was very relaxing to be out in nature, looking for mushrooms, & just enjoying the little things in life. Glad that you had a nice time!
Always so enjoy your fun videos! Catching up, so I get to watch video after video, even better! (Was sick for last 6 weeks with flu). Thanks for making binge watching the best! 🩷🌿
After all the Kichen stuff came the Krocks - plus hat . All stuffed in a busted briefcase. The old letters were more interesting. Then a king size toaster. Just the thing for making copious rounds of toast with the full English breakfasts your customers can enjoy after you’ve done their nails! Maybe not. RC truck plus underwear. Go figure. Didn’t seem to be much all in all, but still fun Renee….😊
Hey Miss Moose...maybe that letter from Germany is from another one of Jack's girlfriends 😮😮..you'll have to translate it and let us know, ...being that this was a Sunday video, it was altogether fitting and proper that Jesus made an appearance.✝
It seems like there were many German speaking people in your area. Have you thought about taking some German classes? Maybe at a Community College? I took it in high school many years ago & still remember some German. I had no trouble learning it & I still have a couple of text books: one even has the German script alphabet in it. (No one I knew spoke German, but was easy for me to learn). How about, at least, buying a couple of used German text books, since you love books, like I do. But I say, take a class, or maybe go to a Rehab Center & ask if anyone there speaks German. These older folks may enjoy the company & you can learn some German 1st hand. Love your videos. I actually found you through Taco Stacks a few years ago!😂
I have 5 years of German language studies - 4 in high school & 1 in college. I recently translated letters from Berlin & that helped me to “relearn” many words that I’ve forgotten over the years. One of the main issues I’ve found is deciphering the handwriting, especially if the ink is worn away over time.
@@PaperandMoose thanks for your reply. I had no idea you had taken classes in German. Seems like there is such a heavy German influence in your area. So glad you have found these wonderful German letters that are a part of history & you will be preserving them. Keep up your interesting videos. What ever became of all those high end clothes & such that you found awhile back? It was such a fantastic find. Did one person by buy most of it or did it get pieced out? Keep up the great videos & love that you take so much interest in your finds.
Crocs are made to be machine washable and can be bleached. That's one reason they are popular with medical professionals. Not many types of shoes can be sanitized!
I’ve thought about that quite often, especially since many do a promo or percentage off for the first month. One would just not be able to use that specific company ever again to store!
Well it will add up. A $1 sale here, $5 there. I thought when you played Cocomelon the first time, you were going to be taken down by the two of them! 😂
Hello Renee I am interested in your nail box!! I love doing nails (my own) how much would you sell it for? And will you be at leesport anytime soon? I am 100% interested!! ❤❤❤
My parents got a set of that Crestwood China when they got married in 1965. Mom gave what was left away 20+ years ago except one large platter. She gave that to my sister in law more recently. I've never been that materialistic, but now that she's gone, I wish I'd kept a piece.
Guess what I'd like to find in a storage unit: A SOLID GOLD FR-G! Looks as though you have the brightest nails in town! Wow...that large bowl...use...to soak my feet!!
@@PaperandMoose Wish you good luck in finding more gold pieces among the jewelry! Yep, a neat weekend coming up...two get togethers...one a lunch, the other a dinner...celebrating this old codger's birthday! Actual day is Monday. My good neighbors are inviting me for a wonderful home cooked dinner that evening! Sadly, they will be moving this year, will be missed.
@@PaperandMoose Thank you...same for your B-Day, future or past, this year! As to the new neighbors, they will be renters...Joe assured me they will be well recommended, as he deals with a top-notch rent referral service. They are relocating to a family home in Sonoma, due to Kathy's health issues. Trouble with stairs, which these homes have many. The new home, a ranch style.
Thank you for the video Renee 😊 how very spooky that you found letters from Germany 1945 & 1946!!! I scanned some old certificates last week dated back to the war, they are in german. In the same folder there were also more older birth and marraige certificates as well as old letters written during the war, again all german. Maybe it is time to write to you as there is too much to put here in the chat. Good luck with whatever your next adventure is. Gruß aus Berlin 😊
