Buying and BLOWING Cheap Dual Subwoofer

I could imagine that little Dual sub would actually sound decent in a better box.

I got one of them duals on market place for 10 bucks. It’s stays at 600 watts all day long. Never had a issue with it 😂😂

That sub took a boatload of punishment. But that is to be expected when you put that much distortion into the sub. It held up quite well for such a cheap subwoofer considering that it was over powered by the crown 1502. 525w @ 4 ohms. It took it like a champ. I wouldn't buy one but look at the punishment it took.

I'm pretty impressed with the abuse this cheap sub took. I used to have the exact same one hooked up to a Boss 400 watt amp in my room.

that sub in a bit bigger ported box actually is quite nice it just don't take more than 300 watts

It's funny it's called break in period no matter what sub u purchase I no some on that use that set up and love it for what he paid for it

Those subs aren't for the people who want there shit slappin, there for the dads who just wants a little bass without spending a lot of money for it, in that case this sub isn't to bad.

I bought one of these just for the mean time and it works. once its blown just replace it with something better!

I don’t think it’s a bad sub for $55 it’s a lot more than decent you should used ear plug with this kind of experiment too

Speaker is actually holding up kinda good I just bought one but it's only going to be a temporary until I can get the other replaced. I think where I got it from they told me it was only going to put out 150 watts but it's 175 watts rms so I think they underpowered it and that's why I've gone thru 2 already and both are blown

I used to work at an electronics repair shop and I was specifically working in the speaker shop, repairing blown speakers, replacing amplifiers, and such. I can confirm that this model of Dual is ass, I've personally worked on many and almost all of them had a completely separated and burned voice coil as well as being really cheaply made. The fucking woofer is just so fragile and the cabinet just plain sucks. If it wasnt the coil, it was a shifted magnet and better yet the customers said they werent even used that much! If you want a plain cheap woofer, just get a JBL, most are decent and last pretty long

I have 2 of these, one of already blown, well the voice coil is messed up but it's not burnt, but I use my other on a 1000watt amp. This is why I'm scared to turn my amp up all the way on it 😂😂, I have other subs as well, and I do agree, the box is not good, I used a washcloth to clog up the "port" so it's sealed pretty good and it sounds better.

Dual using 100% 18AWG OFC PURE COPPER, tuner ported box designed to sound GOOD, copper voice coil instead of aluminum, takes a bass test no brake IN, handles bass test normally capable of blowing any WOOFER, ZERO mechanical noise even after he took it APART, complaining about MDF being .5" WHEN ALL OTHER BRANDS JUST ABOUT USE PARTICAL BOARD at 7\16" NOT 5 \8" LIKE DUAL CHEAPER AND WORSE THAN MDF that company is out of buisness I believe because every1 HATING ON IT YET IT WAS HONEST AND TRUE ABOUT THIER RMS IN THE BOOK BUILT STUFF TO LAST PEOPLE NEVER GIVE THE RIGHT REVIEW OR A GOOD ENOUGH CHANCE I CAN NAME 5 OR MORE NAME BRAND COMPANIES Y'ALL WOULD THINK ARE BETTER BUT DUAL WAS BETTER THAN THEM!
