Its called dual voice coil and it will probebly not move or move just a little bit because the two coils are moving against its self so one is going down and one it moving up so its cancelling its self out
Thank YOU for producing these videos for us to watch, really I appreciate the time you put into them! As a random question, do you think Yamaha S215V's are worth their weight? My school's band has a pair just wasting away in storage, and I was wanting your input on whether or not they're worth looking into. They seem half decent to me, with a solid frequency response and high quality build (cast woofers, T-nuts, etc.)
I have a theory why the second coil of the small speaker came back to life. The first coil probably had the enamel burn off and short out. The second coil probably had the same thing happen to it, but since both may have been burnt to bare metal in similar places, they could possibly connect with each other, so the coils used each other to create a complete circuit, then it broke again... twice.
I would also bet that you are under 13, Beronics, because you dont understand that I was just saying that I WOULD bet $100 that he was under 13 if I had the chance to. If I just say "Oh I bet you $100," no one is actually going to go through on that bet. This is the internet, what do you expect?
Wow. Kenwood ALWAYS uses red glue in their speakers. I have a Kenwood speaker that uses the same red glue to hold the terminal on the back of it. It was around the coil in this blown Kenwood subwoofer. Weird!
