Buying vacation rental properties in Bimini Bahamas could be a great way to creative passive income and get away from it all. I am on the search to add to my portfolio of vacation rental investment properties. And South Bimini could fit the bill.
I plan to take another trip out there and stay in an AirBnB at Bimini Sands in South Bimini Bahamas. I plan to document that trip, meeting a local real estate agent, scouting a vacation rental investment property which we will call this series "Buying Bimini"

Nice, informative video. Love the fact that you don't need to rent a car there. We stayed at a beachfront house on Grand Bahama that was on the very end of the island (Gambier Point), and ended up paying $700 for the week to rent a car because you have to drive everywhere. Yes, it was beautiful where we were, however having to drive almost 30 minutes to get to the supermarket and anywhere else was super annoying and scary as hell driving on the left through traffic. A golf cart on a smaller island seems way more manageable to me.

Interesting place. I might visit once (well with your video I probably will now) but I don't see it as a regular destination. Is it a place with regular vacationers so you can build up a loyal set of clients? If so then regardless of my liking it could be a great investment location. You're right though, probably an all cash investment.

Yup. Very special place. Based on my research, a lot of people who are regulars are sport fishermen. Many come by boat from keys, Miami, Lauderdale, West Palm. The key is having water access 🤙🤙

Very interesting! How would the financing work to purchase the property that you like in Bimini? If you do purchase it could you make a vid on running the numbers?

Yeah for sure! Pretty sure it will have to be cash. Doesn’t sound like financing there is very common.

It is common… scotia bank finances easily… but I’d recommend not investing in a foreign money condo like this video suggests… that is not the Bahamas

Yup. Coldwell banker. But also a husband and wife team who live on S Bimini full time. They handle a bunch out there. Still working on getting details.

Nice! Really like this spot as well. Fairly new to the investment game so deals like this get me excited purely because of the option to visit throughout the year. Was concerned about visa issues for guests but did a quick google search and realized that is not an issue. Would love to see an update on your decision about that Bimini Sands spot. Keep us posted if you get a chance!

This video is a good attempt at being informative… unfortunately it’s showing you how to be unwelcome and invest in poorly managed associations. If you’re going to “invest” do so in Bahamas infrastructure and not the Asian money. Come by your own plane or boat and don’t contribute to making Bimini, Nassau.
