What? Yes yes. The recent Steady Craftin' computer fundraiser auction went so well that we decided to seek out an Etsy shop with zero sales, and buy everything from them. We'll be sending these items to some Patreon supporters, and also one of the items I want to give to my wife.
Hopefully I'll be able to start making videos more quickly with the new computer.

I thought the exact same thing. Unfortunately, crocheted items have to be priced frustratingly low for the work put into them to be competitive on Etsy (speaking from experience). Her items were very nice, though, and Crafsman absolutely just made her whole year!

The crocheted stuff is SO CHEAP for how decent they are! My mom does that stuff and it takes hours, and the yarn also isn't cheap.

I so hope a couple thousand people go jump on Etsy and look for someone that needs a little break like Crafsman & Mama just did. Even if it’s just a little item or two - we all want or need something.. and better to someone else than another run to Walmart ☺️ Way to go Crafsman & Mama! 👌💯👏👏👏. I’m sure that person is sooo truly touched by seeing their sales today they are doing the HAPPY DANCE 💃 .. and planning & talking .. their confidence just skyrocketed and the world is right again! 🌹🌹🌹 Thank you for the best example.. we can all do a little something 💜

That's such a sweet thing to do! Starting up a shop with your hand crafted items can be rough. I'm not in a stable financial situation right now, but that kind of paying it forward is what I'd love to be able to do on the regular in the future.

Yeah, to go the whole nine yards, the proper refurb, replace the thermal paste too (in between the CPU and heatsink). Sometimes it could make all the difference... the tiniest thing. A decade old computer DEFINITELY needs new thermal paste. Just did my laptop the other day and it has gone from leafblower to completely silent.

Plus the fans are worn. Open it up, blow it our, paste too. But while you are in there, measure the case fans and check amazon for the same size but lower noise.

The CrafsMan's generosity is contagious! I have been making al kinds of items out of metal and sending them to YT friends. I was lucky enough to be able to buy a Mail Snail figure from the CrafsMan a while back, today I made a Mail Snail mold using greensand and poured it in Bronze. After a lot of sanding and polishing it is almost done. I'll be gifting it to a friend who is very slow with mailing things out. 😋 There will be a video of the making out soon! I'll post on Crafters of the Universe when it is up!

Been watchin since the days of puttin printed images on wood and love every one of your videos. Alternate fix for noisy computer ( fans and old hard drives) is put the computer farther away and get longer cords, wireless mouse and keyboard, longer microphone cable. If you get the new computer try and get one with a solid state hard drive (SSD) - they're very fast and no noise. Also Love the pay it forward idea!

Jayz2Cents is a good channel to check for info on how to clean and upgrade your PC, he's done a few videos on how to speed up older PCs and he's also a huge dork! I hope you're able to get your PC to settle down, or upgrade in the future. I absolutely love that you chose to support a small Etsy owner, I remember how hard it was getting sales when I started.

First off, Crafsman, excellent, very kind of you to do that for Virtuosity. There should be more good people in the world. Second, my computer was sounding like a jet engine and I thought it was the fan. Ended up being the hard drive. The tech guy was able to copy it before it crashed and of course I bought a new one. Good luck. I hope you get your new one before you lose anything!!
