A little boy approached me in Mumbai while I was practicing the intro for the video. He begged for money. Of course I didn't give him any money, because I don't support the beggar business of his parents. But the boy didn't want to give up and so I decided to buy him ice cream. Was it a mistake?

I wouldn't have given him anything. It's sad but I know that sometimes (not always) these women hurt kids to get extra money out of sympathy. Sometimes not all the kids are hers some women come with an older child (hers) past the cute phase and a little one who she's supposed to be looking after. I once saw a woman when I was in Bangladesh she had a different small child or baby every day but the older one was always there.

Two guys tried to casually grab and take my bag away in Kolkata just a week ago. That happened on broad day light on a busy market. Being an Indian myself, I'm extremely irritated by this as well. Especially now when I travel by AC bus and they get inside the bus and start poking my arms every second until you give something. She wasn’t offering him anything but she uncovered her baby’s clothes to show him it’s a girl(I assume) to make him feel bad for a girl child to grow up homeless. And the girls behind him were literally fighting over who’s going to hold the baby so that it would make people empathetic towards the baby. Such a cheap way to extract money from people.
