Btw - the watch looks amazing - great choice. Love the Jubilee and the fluted bezel. The size is great too. I like it a lot more than your Sub. The Sub has a great Public Relations team, but the datejust is pure class.

Datejust looks so much better on your wirst. Perfect size for you at 36. The Sub looked a bit too big because of the end to end lugs which looks like it hangs over a bit.

Congrats! I got the fluted bezel Wimbledon dial about a month ago too! Mine is 41mm and with an oyster bracelet though. And…I bought mine on the grey market for a giant up charge….. Good for you to get the one you wanted from the AD.
I got mine on grey market last Thursday. Compared to other sellers I got a decent deal but still a premium. I was just sick of waiting and AD's B.S. in my city they only cell to high rollers and back door sales to the resellers. Hope u like your peice as much as I do. Cheers :))

The Wimbledon Dial on the Jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel looks very good on your wrist. Between the Sub and the Datejust these are two good combinations to switch back and forth to. Congratulations and enjoy.
Congratulations, I am very excited for you as you now own two iconic Rolex models. The 36mm Wimbledon dial DJ with jubilee and fluted bezel is the bomb! I also own a Sub and a DJ, but I got my DJ first, then had to wait 8 months for my Sub. I have the green bezel Sub and the 41mm, smooth bezel, black dial, oyster bracelet DJ. I want to get either a 36mm Explorer or a 36mm OP (blue, green or turquoise dial) as my third Rolex.

Beautiful watch! My first choice also. I’d be glad to wait a year for a DJ. But according to my AD (Rotterdam) there are no waiting lists anymore, at least not for the most popular (steel sports) watches. The demand is just to high. Orders are not accepted.
If a AD told me it is going to be a wait of 8 months - 1 year I would go straight to a reputable grey market dealer and buy it right away. No sense in waiting. Your 20 Grand is the same as a rappers 20 Grand. We've known about these judgmental sales ways inside an AD store for a long time. It's crazy how ADs have big discrimination to the hard workers who worked years, maybe decades to walk into the store and get their 1st true luxury watch. They will tell him no. Then sell it to the rapper or millionaire in hopes of a more frequent returning customer. If an AD says yes to sell a regular Joe a watch they will always tell him "don't bring your wife". Lots of single watch chronoseurs out there haha.
I have that in the Ever Rose and absolutely love it. I watched your purchase video of the Submariner when you acquired it and thought it was cool how excited you were in your car after getting it.

Looks great! I had the Sub the 41mm last year sold it two weeks after I got it haha didn’t like the feel compared to my old Pepsi. I wear a 36mm everyday as My daily less toyish looking IMO.
I was so lucky yesterday. I got this exact watch immediately at my local AD. It was my dream watch too and thought i need to put my name in the waiting list, but to my surprise they had it on display in the shop. The watch just arrived the day before.
The fluted bezel makes the Wimbledon dial pop. Good choice for a new Rolex. The Submariner is a good choice as an entry level watch. I went vintage for my sub. It has the old bezel.

I've got the same Wimbledon but a bi colour on an Oyster strap along two tone sub. They are two different styles of watches: the Datejust a tad more dressy while the sub a heavier looking watch more suited for outdoor activities.
I CANT WAIT until I buy my first Rolex I want a date just with a jubilee bracelet and a fluted bezel with a blue dial that’s my dream Rolex ugh I have to save up a lot more tho honestly hahaha
I think they are both Valid in terms of wearability . The Bezel of the white Wimbledon is White Gold (?) or maybe it is all white gold...either way the watch has a lot of presence which is really great.

I was offered this DJ36 Wimbledon after placing a $2000-ish deposit and was one of the last offered to place deposit and the first to turn it down when it was ready. I had already gotten the DJ41 Mother of Pearl diamond dial so I didn't need the two watches.

Nice, but I am more impressed by the one you wearing, no date. I had one and changed for the date sub. But prefer the simplicity of time only sub. That's their top watch.
Rolex watches are always nice and elegance. I also have the TT yellow gold submariner 41 and I am waiting on my DJ41 Wimbledon TT yellow gold with jubilee. I have small wrist but I still prefer 41 over 36. I think 36 is a bit small for me.
Is that from Knar in Oakville? I ordered a 36mm datejust from them back in February, after also buying another watch from them. It’s been radio silence ever since and I’ve emailed them twice with no response.
I’m going to get this. I’m going to pay the extra and buy unworn “used” I’d rather just give someone the extra 2k and not have to deal with Rolex direct.

Congrats! How did you score the Rolex swag - the cap? Did you ask or they just surprised you with it? I picked up a Batman a few months ago after a 7-month wait, and while it was thrilling to get ‘the call’ I wasn’t gifted any Rolex swag and didn’t feel comfortable asking about it.
