I like my Steinhart OVM 42 a lot, with one proviso. All the Ocean One diver's bezels have a fatal flaw: they can't be removed. Their design is very different from that of a Submariner. While the Rolex part can simply be popped off for cleaning and lubricating, the Steinhart can't. Even watchmakers struggle to reassemble it. It simply can't be maintained and mine completely seized in less than two years. Yes, I swim with it a lot, but mostly freshwater and I always rinsed it out as much as possible immediately after swimming in seawater. It's a great desk diver but forget about using it as advertised.
It is all personal preference. You can't knock on a little dude who wants to wear a 41mm just like the others who knock on men who wants to wear 36mm. There is no right and wrong when it comes to watch sizes.
I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
Hi serge ! I own the datejust with oyster bracelet and I’m planning to buy a second bracelet (jubilee one) from my ad . Do you think it’s a good idea having two bracelets .Or you would keep with the oyster one and don’t buy the jubilee? Thanks
This is so cheap white golds.3k something my freind buy 3 for 13k.sell it back for 25k in japan..in usa is so cheap.rolex 2001..now many crazy jacob abaro watch
I got a 36 mm and then went for a Daytona Panda, the datejust just feels better. Daytona is nice, but it doesn't seen as balanced as the 36 mm datejust a 40 mm datejust doesn't look right.
I’m 5’ 5” and my 36mm fits fine. Frankly I don’t give a damn what anyone else thinks. I have the green palm Motif. I can wear a 40 or 41. Then say, hay everybody, look at me.
Keep up the good work Serge! I'm having a hard time to decide between the Bruce Wayne on jubilee and the Sub as my first Rolex. Got the same wrist size as you and sometimes I feel the Sub is to bulky when i try it on at the AD and big and on some days it fits good... perhaps the little thinner profile and diameter of the GMT is the better choice idk. Cheers
Go wear yourrolex in Brazil, Argentina, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean Mexico, and 75 other countries and see what happens. You will be a target. Violent muggings for Rolex happens all the time. You need to wear it at your country club and call it a day that’s it.
That comment was funny asf😂😂😂 dont take it serious bro if it was me i would be laughing at that. Aye i understand your worries about getting robbed. Theres no point in having anything nice if you wont enjoy it care free. Keep a gun or knife on you and be aware of your surroundings as all men should. Im 5'6 ive been in fights while wearing my sub its a strong watch.
So you bought an expensive nice beautiful watch to wear it at home and keep it in the safe when you go out? Haha nice.. it’s like me buying a Ferrari and leave it in the garage because I’m afraid of scratching it or someone stealing it.. 😂😂😂
It is a beautiful watch and the ideal size for most at 36mm. Given the price though Rolex should offer the customer the choice of this clasp or the old-style one. The same goes for the date wheel; why can we no longer have the choice of the roulette date wheel ? Rolex, stop treating your customers like crap...
I LOVE your 126234. Im waiting for one... I only have 126613lb and im thinking to get a 35 tissot prx quartz Ive tried with datejust 41 Azzurro blue but It was little big Submariner tt and datejust 36 green combo IS my dream I like blue too but with the Bluesy I prefer Green Thank you I like your videos
One thing is not taken into account in your analysis, I think: It’s normal that a dive watch is a bit bigger than, for example, a dress watch. So I say keep your sub (great looking watch!) and if you feel like wearing something dressier, add a DJ (like the one you showed)! They will both look great on you, just in different ways 👍 If I were you, the sub would be a keeper, for sure. Take care.
Nice video Serge, and I've had a few Submariner's, but let me just say that my only ever Datejust is a 116200 black dial domed bezel on Oyster bracelet, and it's my longest ever held luxury watch, 12 years and counting, so I guess I don't really care about that other "stuff". 🙂
