Shes playing both sides, shes keeps the 3rd gen while catering to the new buyers of the 2024, she gets to make deals /psrtnerships companys while making content for all.. and if the Gen4 fails she still.has a gen 3, the channel and still an acct. The channels fun to watch. She takes the risks so we dont have to. 👏👏👏
If you have $50k in cash sitting around, it's stupid to blow it on buying a truck, when you can put it in a 5% money market account and get 6% financing for the truck. Savings interest compounds and car loan interest amortizes. Plus, if something unexpected happens, you have time to sell the truck while you pay your bills with the savings.
@@aluisious First, you forgot about interest rate risk. Your car loan is at fix interest while the money market interest rate can and will likely drop. You also forgot you have to take money out of your money market fund every month to pay the monthly payment, thereby decreasing your compounding. If you figure that into your calculation, assuming 50k in loan/market for a 4 year loan , 5% rate unchanged for your money market (with monthly compounding) and 6% car loan, you will LOSE $~1100 after all these maneuvers. If interest rate drops, you lose a lot more. So, they best thing to do is to just pay cash. The easiest way to tell you are making a mistake in finance calculations is checking whether your calculation indicates that you are making extra money without taking any additional risk and/or effort.
@@aluisiousYou are missing that this is a really a business investment. She gets paid based on channel success, and having the 4th gen taco is a business decision. I suspect she’ll make her $50k back in the end.
Ah, I did not know it was called the chip guard but yeah, glad it has it! On my 2019, the bottom part of my rear fender flares are all chewed up from essentially getting sand blasted in the desert. I hope that does not happen in this truck!
Chloe… you are definitely a class act! Even though I’m not in the market for a ‘24 myself, I couldn’t help but embody your enthusiasm, smiles, and excitement throughout this excellent video. Continue to stay humble and true to yourself. As an avid follower, I look forward to seeing what your channel has in store for us no matter what make/model Toyota you’re sharing with your audience.
I also heard they are not selling, but my brother now work at a dealership and he said they are selling as soon as they get to the lot. So, the sales might be a regional characteristic. But I agree they are way too expensive now. I drive and Gen 1 for 260k miles, no repairs required. I traded it in for a Gen 3.
Congrates on the new Truck. You have one of the best Tacoma channels on RU-vid. Everything is so well explained and detailed. I think you had about 15K subs when I started watching and I knew this channel would blow up. 185K Subs is just getting started. Keep it up. 👍
Hey chloe, I know you mentioned in your video that you ordered your 24 Tacoma. How were you able to do that? Every time I ask my local Toyota dealership in texas if I can order a truck, they say they can’t do that.
Heated and cooled seats and a heated wheel is a nice touch! I have heated seats in my 2020 TRD Sport Premium but not cooled or a heated wheel. Does it have automatic wipers? That’s another thing I’d like to have
Congrats Chloe on the newest addition. At the end of the day the price you paid for it is what you’re happy with. Hope you get many good years of use with it. I would like to see some comparisons on the Gen 3 vs the Gen 4
This is brilliant. I have some questions: how does TRD relate to Toyota's GR? How does your Tacoma compare to a Hi-Lux sold in international markets? Will you ever gucci up to a Lexus LX?
I can’t blame you for buying this Chloe! I test drive the TRD Off Road (non premium) today and it just feels like a solid truck, I would consider because I do enjoy new toys to explore their capabilities
Congrats on your new Taco truck. Great color. I’m going to buy one soon as well. Did you consider buying the Off Road with Iforce max hybrid engine? Just found out they make a hybrid for an OFF ROAD.
VERY NICE, CHLOE. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Really looking forward to seeing what you do with it, but mostly reports on how the engine performs, reliability, issues, all that stuff 😉 Take care and best wishes 👍
Congratulations on the new truck! I got my 2024 tacoma last month, and I'm loving it. My dealership in Fortworth, TX, only had one, and it was hidden almost like it was waiting for me. Even with the price tag, I honestly can say there has been no "buyers remorse." Even though the wife was a little upset when I came home with a shiny new truck completely unannounced. It's my first new, from the dealership vehicle purchase and a huge upgrade from my previous vehicle. With the new 4 cylinder engine, it's about the same gas mileage and fuel cost for my 45-minute drive to the office, which is perfect for me. Already got some upgrades. New tires, bed rack and a pelican cargo case. I'm definitely wanting to get into some weekend offroading/ camping. As for a video suggestion. I haven't seen anyone do a video on the pre wired accessory plug ins and Aux buttons in the cab, other than saying they exist. I think it would be great to see how they function and what accessorys are possible to use them for. I'm excited to see your upcoming videos on the new truck.
Congrats on your new truck as well, and thanks for the video suggestion! I am excited to start getting wiring accessories to the aux buttons. Looks like my truck came with two or three harnesses for it too. And I am not married, but when I showed my parents the new truck, I think they were a little shocked at first (even though I told them months ago one was coming) but after taking them for a ride, they love it!! 😅
One of my cousins got a brand new tacoma. We live in Bakersfield and the transmission overheated. Transmission always hunts for gears too. I think u will regret getting it. Cheers 🥂
Congrats on the new truck. Question does the top of bed seal sit evenly all around or does the corners rise up? I did see this at my local dealer sitting in the show room.
QUESTION..HI Chloe, are you doing any preventative maintenance or mods knowing the engine in the 23 and 24s are not reliable anymore and having lots of issues? Can you also go over the pricing and dealer add ons, market pricing increases and any other price increases you experienced? Another observation is the app tracking your driving. Wait until you have warranty work and they say its not covered bc you used the truck excessivly or it looks as if youve been racing...or another insurance company subpoenss your data and makes you liable for an accident that wasnt your fault because your history of driving wasnt completely 'safe'. Nice vids.
How was the paint quality when you checked it out? My underground had a bunch of swirl scratch marks that needed a ceramic coating to fix. Didn’t know if it was the HI dealerships to blame or Toyota as a whole. Great buy btw
Hi Chloe, I heard there were a lot of issues with the 2024 Tacoma, debris in the engine etc, did you do any research before you picked your truck up..? The truck looks amazing, its the color and model I would like too.
where did you get the mud guards? I noticed they were not on there at first, but are later when you take posession. I have not been able to find them. PS: you rock
I hear they'll make a good deal right now as these aren't selling. I can't wait to hear all you learn going forward. Eventually my 2017 will need a replacement. But, I'll admit I'm a bit skeptical about the new version. If anyone can give us a top to bottom review, it's you! Staying tuned!
Coming from a 2020 TRD Pro, I drove a truck really similar to Chloe's, and holy smokes it's a huge difference. More power, more quality of life upgrades, and more leg room in the cab. I'm 6'4" and have more room in the rear seat when the front seats are in a standard seating position. The powered seats like Chloe has go so low that it can probably fit many NBA players.
I bought a used ‘23 tacoma trd off road with 6600k miles. Has technology package, premium package…..for $43k….and, it has the tried n true v6 engine. I like the look of the ‘24’s, but not the turbo engine or the price. I actually think the third gens look better too. Just my humble opinion. Everyone has different tastes
Upgrade everything on the truck cross-country off-road style. All the way down to the light bar on the top, dual gas cans on each side of the bed rail. Great video. Congratulations on the new truck.... 🤘😎🤙
How come you got the gas version opposed to hybrid? I am kind of scared to get one of these and the new 4Runner with this being a turbo 4 cylinder. I want a trd off road premium but these prices man I don’t know if they justify it.
I figured you were going to show up with a new Tacoma. Now we can expect some good content and comparisons between the two machines. It's awesome that you stuck with the 3rd gen.
Question about when you order a truck. Do you negotiate the price at the time of order, or do you simply put money down and then negotiate when the truck arrives (like that day you picked it up)?
@@osiyooverland so people who work for a living are idiots, maybe the guy working at McDonald's, but guess what, if he's a single guy or gal with no kids they can afford it. it'd be a tight squeeze, but it's possible. the question is will they, i don't know. however the average income in the US is middle class, and McDonald's is not middle class. $20 an hour and above is middle class pay, and RU-vidrs what's that, and who. not everyone who uses this platform has money, so you strike out once again.
@@osiyooverlandMate, there are people who buy 4 cylinder Mustangs out there. She's overpaying, sure, but I wouldn't call it dumb. It's still a good durable truck.
Hi Chloe, big fan of your work. I had a quick question on your new Tacoma. On the info console, if you set one of the displays to the tire pressure, does it keep the setting or does it go away after the next startup. Mine always resets to another screen. This is specifically for the tire pressure screen. I've tried to work with Toyota on this issue but they told me to check with the dealership. The dealership said there's nothing they can do. I thought I'd mention this to you so that maybe you could bring some awareness to this since I haven't had any luck with Toyota.
Congrats Chloe! Love your channel. Just picked up premium packaged off-road in Celestial Silver this week. Love it so far and looking forward to watching your gen 4 videos while I settle into mine. Only regret is adding the 17"off-road tires (they ended up being Nitto Ridge Grappler for $1,349). The SDM would have been much better use of that cash.
Congratulations Chloe. I'd be interested in how satisfied you are with drive quality vs. your 2019 with the Overland Torque Tune. Will you be looking for a tune?
Awesome video, I think it would be important to inform us what challenges you have or issues you might notice with the truck. Someone with your knowledge in both use and modification, it would be helpful to know what someone with your eye would notice and be able to inform us what to look out for or how to fix/mod it. Otherwise I'm looking forward to this next journey you're on, thank you so much for taking the time and putting in the work to share this stuff with us! Congratulations on the truck, and the brand new adventure!
Great vlog, congrats! Im curious what was your 2nd color choice? My tastes runs towards lighter colors with dark contrast.....wondering what the bronze looks like in the real world.😊
I'm so glad you kept the gen 3. Really interested in how much you paid before tax title reg, but including all buyer build back profit fees like documentation fee? I hope you got a big discount.
Been a sub for awhile now when I had my 22 Off Road and I love my new off road 4th gen! It’s just that much better imo to jump up. So much little details in the refinements from bumper to bumper and if it works with your specific situation (like mine luckily) I would tell anyone to make the switch. Anyways can’t wait for the mod videos to give me inspiration! Congratulations! 🎉
I'm so glad to hear that you kept your old Toyota it's always good to have a spare when your other one is in on recalls especially the first couple years of production😅 I don't usually trade in my old vehicle I give it to a relative for free as a gift I get more satisfaction out of that because I know a dealer wouldn't give me enough on a trade-in because they like to make their five to $7,000 above trade in on resale😢
The app stuff is subscription based, after first year you’ll have to pay subscription. Also, the digital key should allow you to remote start and it stays running when you get inside
So it's been a few day's, how you like'n it?? Where have you driven it? Any long trip's?? One think I noticed is that it's the same color (or close too) as my 2023 base model.. I like this color, any color mods look good on them! I did some "Black and Blue' Accents here and there inside, especially some aftermarket seat covers and they look good. Anywho, hope you love it and have fun with it! OH YAH, one thing I did do ASAP was I bought a MillerCat🐱 Catalytic Converter Cover in 304 Stainless Steal to help protect it from theft, highly suggested!! It helpskeep honest people honest 😉 and it sounds good too after the exhaust breaks in!.. Hoobilly
How fun to get a sweet new ride! That's a beautiful truck and a great color. I just bought a 2023 slightly used Taco TRD Offroad, it will be nice to see you feel out the changes and improvements. Like the rear suspension. Plus the extra horsepower and the new transmission.
Wow, nice truck congratulation I have 2021 TRD OFF ROAD long bed with 285-70-R17 with toyo mt tires but omg give me 14 mpg I wonder how it’s gonna be mpg on the new Toyota with this kind of tire
My neighbors just got a new 2024 Tacoma in the same dark grey color. They also have a double cab first gen Tacoma from the early 00s and they look so nice parked next to each other on the drive way. We also have a 5th gen 4runner and a 3rd gen as well. It’s nice to see these vehicles parked next to their older versions side by side. This is a Toyota household thing to have the same vehicles but from different gens. Just shows the longevity of these vehicles and the loyalty from their owners
Congrats. I noticed on the new tacoma there is what looks like a molle bar handle on the passenger left hand side attached to the center console, is that available for a 22 tacoma? It looks cool. I'm having a hard time finding it.
@@teamoildropAbsolutely LOVING the @teamoildrop@ChloeKuo collaboration! You both have helped me solve problems and continue to find solutions regarding my 3rd Gen. 🌮 Cheers!!
Really like your channel. I purchased my first Toyota truck in 1984. Later I added an 84 Land Cruiser. WOW, that was forty years ago! Currently have my 3rd gen and love it. Yours is my go to channel for these trucks. Love the step by step install videos. Best to you Chloe!
That’s awesome, I had no idea you were just up the street from my work location, the Ford down the street. We all had 4th of July off anyways but still pretty cool. Hope to see you around the area
