993/996 is my all time absolute favorite generations of 911, but if looking beyond Porsche, somewhere of the same timeline, would also suggest to look at MB W124 E500, Audi RS2, they both have a thing or two in common with Porsche :) Or have a complimentary BMW E34 M5 to your M3 Touring :p
Hey, nice selection. I speak from my own experience. I’d suggest a narrow bodied 993 c2, much better drive than the “S”, an e30//m3 is simply SUBLIME to drive, failing that an e34 m5, if you want to hear an engine that’s almost as nice as a Maclaren f1 up top the e34 m5 is the one. If Italian an Alfa75 3.0ltr v6 is something really viable or a Zagato SZ or RZ, if more adventurous how about a 1973/74 BMW 2002Turbo. All this I’ve driven at high revs and the Germans I’ve lived with in combo for near on 30years. You won’t go wrong trust me. 🙏🏿☺️
Hi Seb, before you make a decision, we have about 40 classic 911 to choose from. Some of them very special, some unique. Take a look, you will be overwhelmed! Teaser: 964 RSR 3,8 street-legal (one of only two built in Weissach), 911 S/T or a unicorn: 993 bi-turbo Prototype ("mother of all 993 Turbos")
Seb I would recommend you trying the 2000´s BMW z8. You would be amazed how different and exclusive it feels. To me that´s one of my favourite classic cars. The 911 you have chosen for sure it´s also a good value
...at that time, all 993's (and especially 4s and even more, the turbo) are excellent investment choices, apart from the fact that they drive beautifully! If you can buy it, don't look any further!
You looked to really enjoy the Porsche. It looks great in the St Moritz area. Definitely don't modify it. Don't go too old it can be a money pit. Look forward to your choice. Enjoy the hunt for the one that catches your eye and your heart. I still drive my mum's Subaru Forester from 1999. 101,000kms. Turbo. But not over powered. Simple. Very few electronics. And a cassette player. Cheers.
You will one day achieve it Seb. Always good to visualise and get a feel for it so you can plan knowing where your going. Press on Seb. Stay blessed. I say any classic porsche
I absolutely love these. 993's have been on my mind a lot lately, i think this would make the perfect 2nd car. Especially in this spec next to the M3. Absolutele dream garage to be honest.
@@1954telecaster mine is a 1994 993….30 years next year…in my humble opinion, and the local government also, it’s a classic. That why you pay less taxes on a classic in my country after 30 years.
@@rroosenFB it’s a beautiful car, last of the air-cooled 911, but it’s from the “modern era” of Porsche. I wouldn’t even consider the 930 to be a classic…
