Buying My NEW Rolex Daytona 

You’re very lucky to get at retail. While I’ve gotten all my other pieces from the AD like the Sprite, Root Beer, green dial OP 41, the Daytona is the one I couldn’t get from AD. I picked up my new reference Daytona Panda yesterday but had to pay double retail for it on the secondary market. But I love the new design compared to the previous version so it was worth the investment to me. I hope you wear in good health and happiness and congrats!

Congratulations! Since I've got my 116520 with the white dial, I've ordered the 126500LN with the black dial. Luckily, on my birthday on the 21st of December last week I got the call to pick it up. Unbelievable but it was true and I'm happy af! Much better then the 116500LN tbh. Enjoy it!

the changes are very subtle but still the 116500LN is in my humble opinion the most beautiful watch ever created and this one doesn't even come close...little changes that actually ruined the watch for me... what a shame...

If your grail is a steel chronograph that is machine produced then you need to raise your standards and broaden your horizons!!

How boring. I cannot imagine how a person that likes timepieces would waste the money and time on such a soulless, lifeless watch such as the Daytona. The mere fact that even inexpensive replicas have captured the essence of the watch's appearance make it a no-go. But seriously, there are so many more interesting watches to have purchased besides this. The only reason I can fathom is that you have purchased the watch to impress others that haven't a clue about the watch world. Because NOBODY that is in to watch collecting is foaming at the mouth to purchase a new Daytona on the merits of its innovative design, beauty, functionality or collectibility. It is the BMW of watches. A nice piece of kit, when you have no taste or personality. Congratulations. Rolex is in my collection and with it, a Daytona from 1999. But that piece is defensible because it is from an earlier time before the hype train - and I was younger too. But Rolex is akin to Timex in the world of high horology. Get a clue. If you like watches then go out there and find the 300 other brands that make spectacular watches.
