I found another random game lot on eBay! This time for PlayStation 2 games where I paid around $240 for 30 of them. You should know the deal here, I want you to join me in this journey of discovery. AKA watch me open the stuff I bought. I've actually been hunting for a lot of PS2 games lately, so while I didn't get to choose these ones myself, you'll also be seeing some more of my pickups the next time we do a normal collection roundup. Fair warning, buy those PS2 games now folks! It's only gonna get worse for some of those classics. Your wallet won't last long, mine is basically gasping for pennies.

For others though, it seems they do collect for the sake of collecting. Like Ryan collecting black cover editions and not game of the year or whatever. Its just interesting.

It's funny because Street Fighter ex3 is actually really good, but I assume the buyer didn't have much of an understanding of fighting games which is why it must've been used once or twice.

"This ps2 case is 2007 and up". Not true, memory cardless cases were formally introduced in 2004. Production of the old style cases ceased in 07. Also, the first year or so of PS2 games in both America and Europe did not have memory card holders.

Please make a documentary about how PlayStation won the 5th generation. All videos I've seen about that moment are from Nintendo or Sega's perspective, and sometimes even depict PlayStation as the villain, when in reality both companies did some mistakes that made them lose competitive advantage.

I guess the grimy situation with the PS2 comes from 3 factors: - it was wildly successful so you have a lot of little kids with cheeto fingers all the way to careless adults with ashtrays handling these; - from the slim version onwards it was very "portable" in the sense that people would be taking their consoles (and games) with them to a friend's house, to parties, to college dorms, etc. so a lot of handling there as well; - the dvd case is simply less grime resistant than cd jewel cases. it's very easy for the inside part of the front cover to be exposed, both from the film coming off at the corners to the hole behind the clips inside that hold the manual.

10:36 yup! MLB 2K12 was one of the last ever PS2 games that was released in the USA. ⚾️ I actually remember pre-ordering that game for PS2 and waiting for it to come out! It was so much worse than MLB 2K11😅😂

The vice city greatest hits is better because it is guaranteed that the save glitch is completely fixed, on the black label you have to pay attention to the sku number. The only advantage of the black label is that it has one additional song removed in later versions and that is it.

Its funny you mentioning black labels vs other releases. On the OG xbox, nba ballers platinum is the most expensive game, selling at 1200$+. I think collecting subsets is really fun.

You actually don't need a disc resurfacer to fix a scratched up disc, you can get a bottle of acrylic glass scratch remover for like 10 bucks or less and one or two coats will do the trick. QUIXX makes a good one that works wonders as long as the scratch isn't so deep that it hits the metal itself

The concept of paying about $250 for random games that you might own that are like half incomplete but not a cheaper resurfacer for a collector that usually costs about the same if not less is weird to me. But w/e
