Tbh... few changes in the looks, which matters for different tastes... performance is not impressively changed , so my 992.1 carrera s (with aerokit) is fine for the next 4 years until we see the new 911 next gen
I don't mind the push button and I actually like the changes to the front, but I really don't like what they did to the rear. There's just something off about it.
First of All, thanks for this detailed review which is a must for any 911 lover :). as for the comparision, i see the new 2025 992.2 is more sportish in look from its previous generation: silky , well designed. Although i prefer the old key imbeded switch, but this is the future tech designs which we have to accept. I am a semi-Sporty guy, so i will go for base model with: exhaust system, sport chrono ( actually i dont need it, but will be useful on resale ) and sport body kit. Thats it for me Also, would be great to know what options you would consider for base? Cheers
Thank you for your comment! I like the knob switch, and the Analog Tachometer, but overall, you're right. The new 992.2 does look sportier. Porsche designers just don’t miss a beat IMO. Here is the link to my other video on my spec in episode 2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--0zttSPybh4.html I might have gone too far on options. I had to on some of those not because I needed them, but useful on resale.😁
@@soonsup1004 True! thinking of having these option for a resale is nice if you are not going to keep your 911 for long time. I have a cayenne 2023 now. The plane is to buy the 911 before it goes fully EV (Sadly). I believe the price will jump sharply for the petrol by then.
The 992.2 base model is much improved, it has the previous GTS turbos and the Turbo intercooler. If you don’t want a hybrid, the 992.2 Carrera T will be a MONSTER with a tune.
The GTS got the super car status, the Carrera a few visual changes for a lot more money. The one to buy if you can is the GTS. With no T or S, the base is way over priced.
Inflation adjusted, the 992.2 is a better deal than the 992.1. The base is now a detuned 992.1 GTS with the intercooler from the previous Turbo. RAS and matrix headlights are now standard. The 922.2 Carrera T will be a monster with a tune, I’m talking 600+ HP without mods.
I've a 992 Turbo S. I dont see any reason to 'upgrade' to the 2.2. The vertical fins at the front are goofy as is the look of the front w.out side lights. The hybrid is a dilution of the architecture IMO but clearly I know why they did that (emissions). I genuinely prefer the 992. I also thinking that removing the analog rev display was a huge mistake. That design touch was very cool when they brought that in to the 992
I only see the lack of manual transmission as the knock on the 992.2 GTS, which is now more powerful than the 991.1 Turbo S. I am going for the 992.2 GTS Cab,.
