I feel like we can’t fault the shorts too much for being see-through cause they were advertised as being slip shorts and they seemed to work great for that purpose. Also Sierra’s Hamilton cracked me up 😂😂
Yeah the whole time Sierra was talking about them I wanted to shout "they aren't bike shorts!!", I definitely think they would be great under a dress and it isn't shape wear so it wouldn't be uncomfortable at a point
@@emilyscott2066 Jepp. I have a similar pair like that from a regular underwear brand and they're amazing. So lightweight and comfortable, completely prevent chub rub and keep you decent in windy weather and when sitting on the ground etc. Wish, I had known about them sooner!
On the shoe size - you may also want to get your feet measured now that you are post-pregnancy. My feet “grew” about a half-size with each kid (I think my arches just fell - but resulted in needing larger shoes).
My mom was apparently a size 6 (I think it's been years since she told me) when she was my age (before 3 kids) she's a size 8 now. Her feet definitely changed size with pregnancy
Girl I RAN to go get that bra. I love your content and what you stand for. I am getting a breast reduction in 6 weeks so I bought this in my post op size. It’s my first bra that I’ll own in my future/new size. SO excited. Congrats on the collab!
she acknowledges that. but they’re also advertised as loungewear and 99% of loungewear isn’t just completely see through. also, i’ve purchased my fair share of slip shorts and 99.9% of them aren’t see through like that, they’re almost always opaque.
@@missbeaussie do you know what loungewear is? most loungerwear isn’t see through, most slip shorts aren’t either. to say that them advertising “for home” is proof that they would be see through, is unsubstantial because most things that are advertised “for home” still have the most opaqueness, and one shouldn’t expect them to be see through just bc they’re loungewear.
Hi Sierra... thank you soo much for helping me to be more confident in my body .... as a 20 yrs old i always been insecure about my size ... but since i started watching your vids i became more confident .... i even got the confidence to wear a bikini .. not gonna lie ,it was such a proud moment for me.. so thanks a lot .. you are changing lots of life😋
Birdies are legitimately the most comfortable shoes I own. I'm a healthcare worker, always on my feet and my favourite flats are birdies. They recommend sizing up in certain styles, I love mine
Yes I second this! Also in the healthcare field and on my feet all day and these are 10/10 for me. I added a heel cushion to the back and that stopped any blisters from forming because it holds your Achilles’ tendon area in place so it doesn’t move/rub. And they are perfect now!
i am seriously not even just saying this to make you feel good-although i hope it does. literally when i open the youtube app and see that Sierra has posted on her main or vlog channel it makes me ENTIRE day!!!! i get so happy and know that today will be a good day! you make me happy, boost my confidence, and make my days better. i love you Sierra.
I Literally was thinking the same thing. I have a lank top that looks exactly like thay swimsuit but I have to always tuck it in. This would solve that problem
Lucky. My right foot grew 1/4 size. Just big enough that I need to size up 1/2 a size but not enough to actually fill the 1/2 size. And so much bigger than the left foot that the shoe flops around.
@@livelongandprospermary8796 my toe curves in slightly on one of my feet. It’s not enough that it’s super noticeable without shoes, but it’s enough that it makes my foot a solid half size smaller than the other side lol. Let me know if you’ve got any tips 😂
@@eliontheinternet3298 Try putting in one of these silicone 'cushions', they sell for wearing in high heels. There are different types, depending on where you want to place them in your shoe and they're thick enough, to help you fill out a slightly to loose fitting shoe. I just did this with a pair of pumps, I bought used a half size to big and it worked like a charm.
Oh my, yes! The George Washington pool hair! I, as a 31 year old woman, was trying to show my kids this over the summer, but couldn't get it to work well. I remembered just flipping our hair over, not rolling, so I'll have to remember and try the rolling technique next year. 😆.
Birdies "are" super comfy but I agree with Molly that you need to size up an entire size. I ordered my true size and they were SOOOOO tight. Had to return them for a size up and they're perfect!
The merit makeup looked great on you. Perfect for the no makeup look. I could see how confident it made you feel and I’ve always valued how confident you’ve been quitting the full coverage makeup.
Thank you for the reminder of “be kind to your body”. I have always known this, but I just went through a miscarriage and needed this daily reminder so much today. Your videos and your message really do help people get through their hard times. ❤️
My husband bought me a pair of birdies a few years ago. They were so tight for quite a few wears, at this point they fit perfectly. The cushion has broken down a bit. I don't think I would repurchase but they do change a fair amount
For avoiding chub rub I would suggest Snag Tights, they also have good and really soft tights in general but they also have those shorts that go under dresses and they keep you cool while preventing your thighs from rubbing against each other.
So bit of insider info here from someone who works in digital ads - the algorithms that place ads don't know if you bought it!! So you actually become MORE qualified to see the ad after buying, since the algorithm is aware you went and looked at the product, but doesn't disqualify you since you already purchased. Fun video!!
I really liked this real life testing thing - sort of feels like a vlog. Much better than you standing in front of a curtain trying out things! I loved it. You should do more often :)
I feel like the best thing about that swimsuit for me is that you could wear that as a tank top if you were going to a theme park where you were going to ride like water rides. So you wouldn't be getting like your regular clothes wet and if you wore that with you know even jeans over top like because you're wearing something that fully covers your downstairs area it's going to be more comfortable than just wearing regular clothes that are going to get wet while you're there.
I've been a big fan of Birdies for a few years, but ordering online is SOOO tricky if you don't know your size in their shoes. (Which is soooo frustrating because shoes are usually the one clothing item I don't have to worry about my size fluctuating!)
I have been so depressed lately, just hit a low that stretched on. Sierra always makes me smile and feel so welcome and cared about haha. Thanks for the awesome vid, Sierra! 🙂
I hope u feel much better soon. Hang on, u never know when the clouds will part and the sun will shine in and lift u up. A mild anti depressant has helped me when I can’t quite climb out. Try to do some special things for yourself if u can.
you complaining about the shoes being too tight actually makes me want to buy them. I have small, thin feet and I constantly struggle to find shoes that don't fly off my feet.
@@katc2040 that’s honestly not true though, stop dismissing others struggles. I have the same struggles with shoes and even though they look small and thin doesn’t mean they are or will fit.
@@katc2040 which just proves that stores mostly cater to a certain standard. But online shopping is even more frustrating for me. I completely gave up on ordering shoes online. They never fit.
Yes I have the same problem. My heels pop out of shoes a lot and it’s so hard to buy shoes online. I bought a new pair of sneakers recently and legit had to try on every pair to find ones that fit. 🤦🏻♀️
I swear by my thigh society cooling shorts!!! I just ordered another pair actually. I wear them under skirts, to bed when my legs get sweaty. It’s absolutely amazing for chub rub
It's interesting with how many ads you get shown, I think (and Safiya found this with ad categories) you get shown more because you click on ads (for these videos especially). I barely get any ads and when I see the "sponsored" tag I just immediately scroll past. So I really don't get much. I can't remember the last time I got a TikTok or IG ad.
Just wondering. When I buy shoes and wear them outside my house I can not return the shoes (I live in Europe). How does that work in America? Do company's not have an issue with that?
I think that’s why she mentioned the “no questions asked” return policy bc most places look at the sole of the shoe to determine if they are returnable or not
Some shops in the US also except back opened shampoo bottles and cosmetics and such. If you don't like the product after trying it, you can just give it back. Can you imagine?
Most shoe stores in the US don’t accept back shoes that you have worn out or clothes without the tags. But I think when they do, they often throw them away
I’ve been waiting for the next video in this series!! Also, my little sister and I did the George Washington hairstyle in the pool as children all the time!! What a throwback.
I got the Harper Wilde bra originally when you made the video last year, I have since bought 6 more 😂 just recently purchased your pink collab one too- a Harper Wilde for every day of the week 😌🥳
I use only concealer in the same method as the Merit stick. You don’t need that specific product - any concealer will do! Having said that, the Merit looks nice!
Sierra I don’t know if you’ve bought shoes post pregnancy before the birdies. But it’s totally normal to go up a half a size or a size with each pregnancy. Often by making the foot noticeably wider. Before my pregnancies I was a 6.5/7 now I’m fully an 8.5! It’s also normal for your feet to get bigger as your body gets bigger. So if you’re wearing a larger pant size you may also need a larger shoe size. My doctor said it’s totally normal! You may want to check your shoe size in person, especially with more structured shoes before ordering off line again. You look beautiful! I think foot expansion like hair loss is one of those things that people often forget to warn you about post partum!
Pregnancy really did a number on my feet! Just one pregnancy, 5 years ago, but my feet got wider, my arches fell, went up a shoe size, and my feet got super swollen at the end of the pregnancy and never really went back to normal. I was diagnosed with RA last year which also explains some of the foot stuff.
13:39 Absolutely. I mainly wear Birkenstocks in summer and hiking boots in winter (hiking boots for long days), and the comfort is just everything. You don't look cute in hiking boots, but oh my gosh they are the BEST. I was hesitant at first, but after trying them I'm never going back. Nothing better than my friends crying because their feet are killing them after a day of shopping in cute boots while I'm ready for another mile 😅 Best 80 bucks ever spent (Jack wolfskin from an outlet)
Procrastination pays off because I love the Fern color even more than the Clove color! Went and ordered it right away! I was wondering if you have any recommendations for pumping bras for someone with a bust size similar to yours?
I also used to do that with my hair but get this! About two years ago when i moved into my first apartment and my partner came to visit and we went to the pool, and i obvi need the George Washington hair and HE HAD NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE! Still shook many years later
Oh I wish I could afford the shoes, they would be such perfect teacher shoes for me. I have really narrow feel and I am also a size 8 so I feel like they might work for me because I struggle with shoes being too wide for my feet a lot of the time.
I was already eyeing the Pink Harper Wilde bralette from your collab, but when I saw on your IG stories today that y'all were doing a green color, and green is my absolute favorite color, I knew I had to have that one, so I've already ordered mine in a 3X! Can't wait to get it!
Sierra those glasses are SUPER cute on you! Do you mind sharing the brand/style? Maybe an affiliate link? Would love to support if possible! Thanks! 🤍🤓
I definitely did the George Washington hair in the pool when I was a kid. It always upset my brothers that they could never do it because their hair was not long enough. question: I love that gray ribbed mock neck T-shirt that Sierra is wearing. Anyone know where it’s from?
Oh my gosh the Pannikin!!! That’s the one in Encinitas right? I went to college in Escondido and I used to go to the Pannikin all the time! I miss it so much! I’m back living on the East coast, and though this place is my dreamland and I’m not sad I moved back at all, I do miss this coffee shop💛
I ordered the Harper Wilde collab bra when you first shared the news, I can't wait to wear it! That's so awesome that they reached out to you after seeing your video
As soon as you were in the car and the said the shoes were coming off a bird dropped from the sky dead... the big bang theory- the clean room infiltration.. made my laugh so hard. Can you tell me the items you wore with those shoes as it was such a cute outfit. Loved the vid and that swimming costume too x
I’m so happy for you that you that you have released this bra!!! Sadly, I can’t get it because I’m still growing and I don’t want to invest in a bra until my size is consistent. SO PROUD OF YOU💖💖💖
The same thing happened to me when I ordered Birdies. I'm usually a solid 7 so that's what I ordered. They had great customer service though! I wanted to just try a size higher but unfortunately the ones I wanted they no longer carried so I just ended up returning them.
About the shoes they say that your feet can grow/change when your pregnant. I had a cute pair of sketchers that was a bit too tight after I had my daughter.
I've been waiting for this video! I won't lie, I often think about trying it myself, but I always chicken out because I don't want to spend a lot of money on crappy items.
As a Canadian I am SO sad I can’t order that bra. The green colour, the fit, the embroidery, AND extended sizing…what more could a girl possibly want?!
You sold me on that last product! I don’t wear any makeup, but now that I’m going into college I feel like I need just a little something, but very minimal. That is perfect for me!
Congrats on the collab that looks extremely comfort and full and beautiful definitely in everyday bro unfortunately I just can't spend $50 on one bra but they're beautiful congratulations
Question about the shoes: Have you bought shoes since you gave birth? Because your feet may have gotten bigger due to pregnancy. Mine did; I'm a full size bigger than I was pre-pregnancy. Apparently it's common. Your feet get flatter (and thus bigger) due to pregnancy.
Thank you for uploading it makes me so much happier… I’ve been in such a depression rut. I have college full time and work over 50 something hours a week and I’m just burnt out mentally. Your videos make me feel happy and relaxed 😊
I barly wear any makeup and if I do it's all out or just eyebrow and mascara, but I got this concealer called florence by mills, and I got the concealer that matched my skin perfect that wasn't too light and it looks wonderful on the inner corner of my under eye just to hide a tiny bit of my dark circle and it blends so seamlessly it looks like I'm not wearing any makeup. It wears away also after like 7-8 hours to the point where it's just not there which is LOVELY when I hate when makeup gets like Pilly and Cakey.
