Hey everyone,
in this video we are going to the Dubai Mall Rolex Store (which is the biggest Rolex Store in the world) and my friend E is buying the DateJust 126334. We are also going to check out some Zenith highlights and visit the F.P. Journe store to order another watch.
Also we are driving around in his super nice Mercedes SLS AMG which will become a future classic I guess.

I was originally planned to buy a dj36 but after trying them on, I ended up ordered a dj41 instead. As I am more use to the contemporary size of my everyday wear 40mm Sub, and BLRO. FYI, I have a small 6.3 inch but extra-flat wrist measuring 2.3 inch across the widest area, so I have no trouble getting away with a 42mm. While I see you have a bigger wrist than mine, but a more rounded shape. Dj41 is actually just 39.2mm roughly the size of an Explorer 1, the profile of dj41 is quite a bit thinner, hence it wears much smaller than my usual Rolex sport models. My point is, if you can pull off, and feel comfortable wearing a contemporary size Rolex Sport models, then I see no reason why the DJ41(39) would not work on you. Cheers.

I would go for the Datejust 36. The 41 is too bulky for my taste. Of course it depends on the wrist size. Are the new Datejusts freely available without the waitlist?

The black looks best I think. I like the contrast with the hour markers and the Rolex crown. It looks a little sporty but you could wear it with anything. I have the money to buy one but would still wear my digital watch anyway because it’s more practical. Plus it’s not good to show off when taking care of sick and poor people.

That blue dial looks really good on the DateJust. The white gold gives it a nicer sheen than stainless steel. And the heritage bracelet is nicer than the oyster.

Datejust 41 is actually 40mm, like the day date 40, if you measure it. It’s the datejust II and daydate II that measures 41mm.

I just got my DJ 36 same as yours and I ended up ordering the 41 as well but with the diamond dial. You only live once. Im keeping both of them . It was so difficult to decide.

I have very similar wrists to you, maybe even a little bit smaller and I picked up the DJ41 (blue dial, Jubilee, steel bezel) today. Real stunner and the size is also fine, so you could also pull it off if you wanted to.

My first luxury watch bought in my mid twenties was a Rolex Datejust, blue face with jubilee bracelet and white gold bezel. It was in the 1990’s so it was 36mm. The 41mm looks a tad too big on your wrist.

It’s not fully white gold, the bezel is white gold. It’s stainless steel.

@@TheDubaiExpat I’m biased though. The smallest piece I have is a Rolex 39mm OP With a blue dial. I have a 19cm wrist so I can get away with it. If I wore a 36mm it just wouldn’t suit me, at least that’s my opinion. Conversely I own an AP offshore 45mm which is huge. It really measures well over 52mm and the thickness is at least 15mm. I love the watch but it is not an everyday wear. It’s just too bulky. I will say this though I prefer larger dials. But that’s just me. For you, I hope you will just get what’s right for yourself. Everyone’s different afterall!

Hello i am planning to buy a DJ for my wife. She likes 31 mm. Does the price change by the diameter if everythibg else is the same ? Your best bet is an Oris, Seiko, or Tag Heuer brand new within that price range. You won’t find any used Rolex watches under $2k that are worth buying.

on the grey market stickers can increase the value of a rolex ss watch up to 4 thousand dollars, so in some countries rolex makes sure that the dealer removes all the stickers, to discourage people from buying the watches just to flip them.
