I didn't expect to get hit in the feels at an hour into this light hearted video. I really appreciate Alex being open about mental health, depression and bullying. There are too many of us who are left with mental health problems from bullying at school or at work.
It sounds cliché but how many of us wish we could tell our younger selves that it does get better. That even if you get through this with scars, your scars won’t say that someone harmed you mentally or physically - it will say that you survived despite them.

Same i hate luxury brands. Never even once thought something looked good that was luxury. I am excited to find something I think is cute at the thrift store for $3. If I saw that turtleneck in the store I would pass right by it. If I looked at the price by chance and saw it was more than 5$ I would never even pick it up haha
I can appreciate a well made luxury item but those things aren't doable for me so I'm very excited to get a great thrift deal! But its fun seeing people like Alex get them because she still appreciates the things and doesn't have that ultra-rich have to have but don't really care about the thing attitude.

My fur kid did something similar to my iced coffee once, but the lid was off. He looked hilarious licking the coffee of his whiskers. 😂🐱☕️ We don’t let him drink it, but he’s very quick, and we have to him an eye on him and anything liquid that we drink. 😜

They are basically just costume jewelry with a ridiculous prize tag. I saw a lady here on RU-vid who HD to bring in her Chanel earrings multiple times because the little fake pearls kept falling out and they keep doing it still. I would personally not get any or just something without any pieces that could fall out or break off. Definitely it worth it for me either way when I can get real gold or silver jewelry for much less.

Alex, I'd watch anything that you post. I watch your channel for YOU, your personality, humor and openness (and the birb of course). So I really don't mind what content you post. That being said, I get that you're worried about posting content centered on luxury items. It's not something I'm usually interested in or could ever afford and I think lots of other viewers relate to that. However, a good way to possibly compensate for it is to throw in some more thrifting videos as well (and possibly also DIY?) Your Christmas thrifting vlogs/hauls were some of my favorite videos you ever made. Think of it this way: your luxury items videos will probably attract lots of new videos while your long-time subscribers will adore your thrifting/DIY vids. Once it's possible again, traveling vlogs will probably speak to many different audiences and eventually, all of these videos will make cleanout videos possible (necessary) as well HAHAHA. A little bit of everything will make sure you don't alienate your audience and the variety will (hopefully) keep it fun for you as well :)
Loving the purchases, you don't need to reason away every single thing you've brought (You have always been mindful). Bullying is the reason I hate brown LV bags and basically everything with the brown LV in it. The group of girls that where the harshest and most brutal with the way they bullied me had those bags (probably fake), so my brain automatically goes "ALTERT - TACKY - BITCHY - DON'T ENGAGE". It's nothing against the brand and nothing against people carrying those bags, it's just a warning system engraved into my mind.
I've noticed that too that seeing people wear certain styles i associate with the bullies I had almost triggers my fight or flight. Also I still sometimes feel anxious walking past a group of teenagers even though i'm 25 😅 I guess some of those things just stay with you

It’s so funny how the most random thing can suddenly unravel the armor I’ve worked so hard to keep up over the past 2 years to hide the hollow empty depression I feel, and how the same seemingly random occurrence can also fill me with a bit of hope that things can get better. For some people when you leave school they feel a huge weight lift of of them, but then some carry that weight with them a long time. I hope you can throw off that weight and know if you carry it, it slows you down. Get help if you need a hand putting it down. I love ordering used stuff from Japan because their version of used is definitely VERY different from what you can expect here in Germany. I'm not into designer items but I collect gaming consoles and games and I can only recommend buying them from Japan. For certain Nintendo consoles you can even play your regions games on them, like the DS or all Game Boys including the GBA. Better quality and way cheaper even with shipping by now I've hooked up all of my friends.

I got a dress with a separated zipper and they wanted me to foot the bill for shipping it. They also sent me Prada shoes with toe gunk in them. ugh. So yeah.. perfect timing on your video! ❤❤❤

They are the literal worst at authentication. I am in a few groups and I've seen dozens of posts about getting obvious replicas. They sent me a fake dolce & Gabbana bag a couple years ago and I'm still not over it.

I work for a company right now that is a bit like Amazon for a bunch of plus size brands and let me tell you as soon as it gets a bit colder our customers go crazy over the new extra wide boots. We have a wide range of them all in one place and we get a bunch of emails about them too. They are also available in wider sizes as in for wider feet and we have a selection for unusual shoe sizes too. I'm skinny myself but I'm always so happy when I get a happy email from someone who finally found something without any issues because on our site basically everything is just made for them or people like them. We are based in Germany and don't sell outside of Germany yet but I'm sure you can find the boots and stuff on other sites just more scattered.

I know exactly what you're talking about when you say if I could show my past self a glimpse of where I m now, and having nice things you can can work for on your own feels absolutely amazing, I never understood luxury brands when I was younger because the quality is there but most of it is the branded name and now that I can offord my own nice things it's just feels really great from where I came from
