Hello can I know. If the route has to tranfer to other line. So when we buy the ticket we need to choose the destination until the exchange station? Then after arrived at the exchange station, buy new ticket to the next destination? Is it the correct ways?
If you buy the Tourist Pass it allows you to travel as much as you like during the period you have chosen. I would recommend downloading the Singapore Public Transport app as in the video to help you work out what line you need to take and if you need to transfer to another line to get to the destination you want. From the Airport everyone needs to transfer to another line in order to travel to the Singapore CBD area.
Don't buy the tourist pass, it's a con. Just get a standard EZ pass from 7/11 or numerous other retail outlets Trying to redeem a tourist pass on time, in the few places you can, is nearly impossible and you'll end up losing £10. The EZ pass is valid for 5 years and costs half the price. Travel costs are identical. If you buy a three day pass you most likely wont use the travel balance because fares are so cheap so will lose twice over. Any standard visa card can also be used and the additional charges are insignificant.
I suppose the ease of being able to purchase the Tourist Pass at Changi Airport on arrival and being good to go straight away was attractive. Can't really see how it is a "con" as it's issued by the Public Transport Authority. Perhaps the flexibility of choosing 1-3 days instead of having to use the EZ pass locked into 3 consecutive days may suit some people? Horses for courses.
@@buytheticketstaketheride The EZ Link card can be purchased at Changi Airport and it's far better to buy one of these than the ridiculous Tourist Pass. The Tourist Pass is a con, take for example the three day pass. Let's say your flights arrives at midday and you buy your TP, you've already lost half a day. You then have two and a half days except you don't because no one is going to be using it until midnight. Given how cheap fares are many people wouldn't use $24 dollars of travel, that's assuming they get their deposit back. The EZ Link card gives far more flexibility as it last for five years and all it will cost you is the $5 purchase of the card itself. That's a small price to pay compared with the hassle of returning the TP upon leaving. I've been ripped off twice with Tourist Pass and would never use one again and of course I don't need to because I use an EZ Link card. The Tourist Pass if only available and redeemable at a very limited number of locations and it only really works if you leave and return to Changi using the MRT. If you get a taxi to a hotel (many will) then you then have the hassle of travelling to buy the TP and will have to spend money to go to place you don't have any other interest in going to. Far easier to walk in to a Seven Eleven.
