Find another frame for the gray PW.. They are out there. People are putting the PW body work on newer chassies and frames are left overs. You will regret turning this truck into a parts truck . It would be one more PW lost. Save it.! Great work your doing. And thanks for the video.
That’s it man. This idea was gonna wait but after a year of looking at trucks up to 18 hours away, this two for one deal popped up 30 minutes away. Could t say no
do you still have the gray one there a company in texas that make frames call kingdig at least you could built another i love one but there so expensive do ypu have any 1972 gmc pickup or stake truck i could use for parts,or reasonably priced and running
Couple pretty darned nice projects trucks! The cab rust didnt look to bad and the frame is gone on the grey one, that a pretty heavy frame for the rust to get that bad. I am about 50% done with a 50 B2 this one sat for a bit of time but has only 18K original miles and virtually no rust. The sitting is the worst thing! I had to replace both ring and pinions, going through the transfer case the gears were fine but every bearing needed to be replaced and that was the same inside the transmission. I will be starting the rebuild of the PTO this coming week but no reason to expect any different story there! They are beautiful trucks when done and hell for that matter they are all beautiful just to varying degrees! Take your time on the restoration do it once and do it right, the trucks deserve it!
The thumbnails in your shop with the backround, lighting and the yellow come out nice. Hey, is this a get two make one deal? The balloon lights in your shop are nice. I wonder how much watts they take. I have a barn which needs new lights. Any chance you can name make and model of them? That is such an iconic truck. Luckily some of the project is done and the files are up. Someone else surely would have liked to see that your junk from inside the shop which acted as anchor, gets pulled out on the road, instead of the junk on the trailer gets pulled into the shop. By accidant of course. But that was not me, I promise. :D
Haha. Those are “Corncob LED lights” on Mogul Bases. Those are 30” white China balls surrounding them. All purchased on Amazon. The led corncob is like 100 usd each but worth it.
Did I just see the mail guy step over chain/strap with tension on it!!! Lol. Can’t wait to see this build!! I’m not that far away, so willing to lend a hand if needed!!!
I watched your frame restoration, and it said it was a 50’s power wagon... I’m not familiar with mopar stuff, so I assumed it was a dodge station wagon..
