Big fan of the remarkable brand ones. I find them to be thicker and a bit more thought into some parts (like the lining on the chore coat style rover)

Great video. Have just recently purchased a Ranger and a Mosgiel. I have also discovered some fantastic woolen gear made by (MKM) Manawatu Knitting Mill, their 36.6 Wool and Possum Jersey is amazing!

Thanks for the tip. I will check them out if they are still operating.

Really nice to see a video from you Dave. I hope you are doing well. Wool makes great clothing. I've got base, mid and outer layers which are all wool. Can't go wrong. Cheers

Thanks for the vid mate. Some great clothing there. Swanndri is very popular here in Australia. I love using wool products in the bush. Hard wearing, warm and will last a life time. ATB

This is fantastic Dave. I share your enthusiasm here. Funny as I just brought out my wool gear for a look as regrettably I haven't used it much lately. You might be one of my competitors on TradeMe lol. Over the moon with what I have: Swanndri original bush shirt, collared with 3/4 sleeve - TradeMe $11. Swanndri Rover - Opshop $10. Egmont shirt (Ranger style) - Opshop $20. Cheers

Very helpful video. I also use vintage wool clothing like old USA made Woorich. I don't yet have a Swanndri. I've been looking, and don't find any shorter shirt-jac type garments. Have they made these in the past of New Zealand origin and with a double layer of wool on the shoulders and buttons all up the front? Thanks

Thanks for watching. The shirt/jacket you are describing sounds similar to a Swanndri garment that I think they stopped making last season (Kiaraki Shacket). There are still some available on line but possibly not many left. I have put the link below. Hope this helps. Dave www.swanndri.co.nz/kiaraki-v3-wool-shacket-glacier-check.html

When I was in Nz I coveted Swan dri clothing but after they moved to China I lost my taste for them

I think they did lose some support when they did the move. On the upside, it has allowed them to greatly expand their product range.

@@southernlandsolo7839 has quality dropped ? Or are they still made to a high standard?
@southernlandsolo7839

@@kingsolomon8946 The wool on the Mosgiel and Original Bush Shirts seems to be of a lighter quality. Still a very good outer garment but seems to not be as tough as the pre-twenty first century Bush Shirts. Their other garments all seem to be hard wearing and hold up well against the competition.
