Make sure you only buy Walker or Brassworks radiators. If you don't spend enough money your vehicle will catch fire. If you buy an aluminum radiator your vehicle will catch fire. If you buy a used Ford radiator your vehicle will catch fire.
What are your thoughts on using a block that has been pinned and sleeved due to cracks between valves and cylinders? Thats my situation. My machine shop guy says it'll be fine
Yes, you should be totally OK. I have had a block with all 8 cylinders sleeved, and it worked great. You should have any issues. Sleeves are better than they used to be.
Would a single carb aluminum 8BA intake assist in reducing carb temps or no? I have a 5/8 phenolic spacer between the intake and carb in my heat passages are blocked in carbs still getting pretty hot. I'm finding it hard to start after it's been shut down for a little while
2 things is to pull the intake and put in to plugs where the exhaust heat risers are. Or if you think your getting vapor lock symptoms also check to make sure your coil isn't getting to hot. Often that is what is causing the hard to start issue.
