I’d like to take my family for a week to the bvi but my daughter is worried her husband will get seasick. He has never been able to ride rollercoasters or similar rides. Any of your travel mates had issues with motion sickness, especially while sleeping?
YOU GOT A REFUND!!! cooooool, I would like to know how you got them (marine max) to do that. I just got totally SCREWED buy DREAM YACHT CHARTERS for the same reason when we tried to reschedule and of course they said NO! and then stole our money (we used virgin island sailing to book) (horrible do not use EVER!!) when we asked to cancel for a 50% refund which didn't happen sooooo lots of $$$$$ lost....so what's your secret (maybe a good lawyer)? thank you......P.S. we are all fully vaxed too.
That’s ridiculous….both MarineMax and the Moorings have been understanding of the fluid situation and have offered refunds during the entire pandemic. It’s always more safe to go with bigger companies like them because they can afford such things and they also have a reputation of good service. That’s a real shame. I’m sorry that happened.

I want to take the two courses for certification - In shore PB Operation and Basic Power Boating so I can bareboat charter. I have a lot of boating experience in Texas Bays but only smaller boats under 24 ft. Where did you take your classes? I cant find courses in Texas, I checked the US POWERBOATING site but nothing available. Any thoughts?
Any thoughts on where to stay on Tortola before boarding. We are anticipating at least one night on the island before getting on the boat. Planned for early 2022.

@@thewanderinghillbilly Thanks - definitely watched it but we don't get access to the boat until 4pm so we were planning on arriving the day before to make sure we don't get caught in a snow storm and miss a flight, have time to deal with jet lag (coming from the West Coast of Canada) and do some provisioning. We will look at seeing if we can charter the boat for an extra day. Good call!
As an update. We found out the boat is about $1400 per extra day (we are chartering a 40ft sailing Cat) so it’s much cheaper to book two hotel rooms at Nanny Cay. There are two couples on our charter.
