I should have put more in this video, but I was tired of my editor crashing on me Comment if you have an idea for more slander and I might do a part 2 We should nuke this tier already
@@shellyannwilliams2852 If I had a nickel for every funnily named popular team archetype I knew of, I'd have two nickels. Wich isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice
It's unfortunate that you didn't add something among the lines of "rain dittos coming down to who will burn with scald first" but this is amazing nonetheless
You think THATS bad? EQ U-turn gliscor that speed ties having to 1v1 each other without clicking U-turn because there's a keldeo in the back on each side .... Not fun
How does mamoswine always find some niche? I mean, I know why, it's because Ground Ice is excellent coverage and it gets Ice Shard, Endeavor, Stealth Rocks, and Knock Off for a nice variety of sets. But why does it always seem to be Mamoswine who has the most anti-meta potential in every gen?
My guess is that it's because while ice-stab is very strong, most ice types still suck and that leaves most metas underprepared to deal with an actually good ice type.
@@cosmicdunsparce it has terrible bulk and a meh ability. It's just really strong and most metas up to Gen 5 are dominated by slower steels and fast dragons, which STAB eq and ice shard obliterate. The combination of ice and ground just hits SO much in general.
@@skeetermania3202 it's just that ice typing is so bad defensively and combined with ground just leads to SO many weaknesses, that most pokemon naturally have something that can take it out.
This is the greatest shitpost of all time unfortunate to see that the "custap skarm users when their opponent leads volcarona" one didn't get in but what's in the video for custap skarm instead of that is still great
I haven't played much with Custap Skarm HO so I've never been in this position myself, but I have blown away Custap Skarm leads with Kyurem-Black, so that's what resonated with me more.
I am glad this gave me a reason to learn what OU even meant. At first I understood that BW meant black and white but you didnt talk about BW pokemon so I was like "huh? whats this about then?" and learned about the pokemon meta
@@smartyben101 PU is a pun. The tier is named after the cartoonish sound a character makes after smelling something foul, implying the Pokémon in this tier are bad or that they stink to use
Legit one of the best slander videos I've ever watched. The song is good as always and the memes clearly show deep understanding. Pls make more of these.
“Freezai’s comment section when a ban occurs for a tier they don’t play” This is insanely accurate lmao. I don’t even really play competitive Pokémon, I like watching Freezai’s videos bc he has content but his comment section is full of people criticizing every little action smogon makes and acting as if they’re always completely in the right no matter what anyone else tells them
Exadrill being banned only to come back because of hazards Haxorous when Kyrum black came to OU Tentacruel being the worst Sun teams after arena trap got banned Abomasnow enjoyers
ok oko hear me out I have a draft tomorow in a Gen 5 Draft league What is the best pick I can do in high tier?? Kyurem black, latios/as and mew are banned but deoxys Defense allowed send help I have zero knowledge about gen 5 cpp xd
If you had first crack at any OU mon, I'd probably choose either Keldeo or Reuniclus. They each have a limited set of counters and your strategy could be about removing those counters to clean up. Similarly, Volcarona , Dragonite, and (as I've recently learned) Cloyster are similarly difficult to handle, but bring less defensive utility (Keldeo checks Volcarona, for example). Considering that weather has 4 setters in a draft, I'd move away from pokemon that desperately need Rain or Sun to be up (Tentacruel and Cresselia most notably).
This tier is good is so good because stall, balance, hyper offence are all viable And weather wars are a sight to behold, overall the tier is Rock Paper Scissors but it’s raining or sandy sometimes
@@yeet8036 like in gen 8 uu crawdaunt single-handedly made stall unviable, which I like but you know everything has to be viable sooo It’s good technically
As someone who doesn’t play gen 5 OU, I’m surprised there’s only a few I don’t get the first one being 0:21 although I assume it has to do with scald burns, and the other one bieng at 0:51 because isn’t the entire point of custap skarm to get rocks and a layer of spikes? Other then that, 10/10
I mean the Magic Guard one has more to do with the Magic Guard mons being fine with the passive damage flying around in the tier, and Scald is one of them. Also, Kyurem-Black outspeeds and OHKOs Skarmory with Fusion Bolt, with Teravolt ignoring Skarmory's Sturdy and preventing it from getting any hazards.
