I love how your "cameraman" gets ahead of you and follows you to take great shots of you doing things. I hope you pay him lots! and all that heavy breathing during the portages, makes me want to do at least 2 per hour. 🤣😂🤣 The last time I was up in that area the dragonflies were the most awesome thing. But I did come back looking like I had measles from all the mosquito bites when we did those portages. Great vid as usual and thanks for bringing back memories.

I can't pay that cameraman enough. I am glad he is there to help out. With the cooler temperatures. We were able to wear long sleeves and long pants. Plus thick wool socks with my Crocs. But I have to say. At night. With the ever so slight breeze moving through the trees. I could of swear I heard the Boundary Waters calling you name.

Runner charges way too much money to appear on the channel. I am going broke. You would think he would give me a discount. Thank you AbundantAdventures for watching. Much appreciated!

Great to see you and Runner back at it! Great trip so far. Looks beautiful there. The mosquitoes look like they could eat you alive, literally. Looking forward to the next one. 👍

I was so afraid that those mosquitos were going to carry Runner away. I had to tie him to the fire grate. Thank you Dan for watching. I always appreciate it.

Hopefully, they we start getting some rain up there for you guys. Having a fire and cooking over it. Makes it a little more special. My son Zac, come back from China for the month of September. With all of these trips planned for us. So I will be back up there then. Have a great time in the BWCA. And thank you James for watching.

Beautiful scenery. I'm surprised you didn't take any insecticide or even bug nets. Hiking in Crocs amused me too. Have a great time and enjoy yourselves. Why is your friend nick-named, 'Runner'? Anything to do with the Roadrunner bird from the cartoons?

The Crocs are my go to foot ware in the BWCA. I am amazed how durable they are. Runner use to get up at 4:00 AM, every morning to runner. He was always running here and there! Thank you StevenKeery for watching. Much appreciated.

One of the worst mosquito population that I can remember. Also a good population of Dragonflies. Dragonflies are my hero. Thank you boilermatt1 for watching. I really do appreciate it.

Another great video Marine, Love seeing you in the BWCA. I have a couple trips coming up yet this year! Saw you at the movie theater today. You actually sat right next to my son and he said you were snoring, lol. Don't blame you, I fell asleep to the that movie too, lol. I didn't get a chance to say hi before you and your wife left.. Hope your summer is going well...

That is so funny. I think that big bucket of butter popcorn and the movie. Put me asleep like if I was in my hammock. Tell your son that I am sorry for talking in my sleep. Next time Pete. Don't hesitate to come and say hi. I would of like to have met the family.

I was just saying to Dan from Backpacking Adventures about looking forward to some more videos from you. They don't seem as common as usual. Don't you treat your clothes with permethrin to mitigate mosquitoes? They don't touch me with it on my clothes. I reapply every 6 weeks I am glad to see you again! Semper Fi

I have been on, what I call a crazy rollercoaster ride of life lately. I am hope to get off soon and try to make a video a week. At lest 3 a month. I am so old school that I just wear clothes ( long sleeves and long pant ) that protects me from the biting insects. If the temps allow. But then again. I ended up with limes disease last year. If I would of treated my clothes with permethrin. I may have prevented that. So now I am changing the way I handle the biting insects. Thank you Stoicodysseys6352 for sharing that. Much appreciated!

@@AdventureswiththeMarine I do remember in some of your videos you mentioned taking care of your mother in law and a lot of family stuff going on so anything you do is appreciated by the entire backpacking/hiking community. I still hope to meet you on a frozen butt hang. Yeah a few years ago I also had a concurrent infection Lymes and Anaplasmosis because Pennsylvania where I do most of my hiking is loaded with ticks. The permethrin did the trick and I haven't seen a single tick on me since where usually I'd have more than 10 clung to me per day.

Tell me about your canoe seat/camp stool hybrid setup? Looks like you are a Shugg follower !
@AdventureswiththeMarine
@AdventureswiththeMarine 3 месяца назад
Yes I am! I love Shugs videos. He lives only a half an hour away from me. He is a really good guy. I have tried almost every camp stool and chair that is made. The Stansport Camp Stool, Which I had now for over 10 years. ( the material is starting to come apart and I am missing a cap for the bottom of the leg ) Has been the best camp chair for me. It sits up high for someone with long legs. For cooking and just kicking back. It is very light weight and sides on the outside of the pack for easy access when you want to stop to rest or eat lunch, without opening your pack. The folding canoe seat is from Crazy Creek. When in the canoe. You not only have padding underneath you. But an adjustable backrest. Now throw that on the Stansport Camp Stool. Now you have the ultimate camp chair. Multifunctional! Thank you Stevehisey for watching. I really appreciate it.
