Hey Matine I watched an earlier video of yours and you mentioned how your ridge line stays the same attached to the hammock and keeps your hammock at the 30 degree angel. In this video does that include the adjustable ridge line? Can u point me to another one of your videos so my ridge line keep me at the 30 degree angle. Thanks for you videos keep them going👍🏜️
@AdventureswiththeMarine
@AdventureswiththeMarine 3 дня назад
The 30° angle is for the hammock suspension for a hammock without a ridgeline. The ridgeline will give you the same sag in your hammock. No matter the angle of the suspension. Most ridgelines are fixed. But with a adjustable ridgeline. You can adjust the sag to your liking. I did a video on ridgeline that explains this better. Question, you said you needed to adjust the UQ. If one side of the hammock is sewn how do you adjust the quilt?
@AdventureswiththeMarine
@AdventureswiththeMarine 8 дней назад
Great Question. I will grab the hammock fabric against the under quilt and move the under quilt. Ounce the shock cord is over my feet. And with the 3/4 length adjusted on its own shock cord suspension to fit my hammock. Then I never have to worry about the foot end. That end almost always stay in place. I just have to only adjust it over my shoulder.

A friend worked as a park ranger here 2 different summers. As a full time teacher it was a fun summer job. Once she was ask to do a lesson plan & activities for a very small special group. She made badges & prepared activities. In came like 15 really big RVs she thought it was perhaps Pres. Obama & family. Turned out it was a Ted Turner & his family. The parents wouldn’t let her pin the badges on as it might poke them. The kids stayed in the RVs on their phones & playing video games. The parents didn’t won’t them out & about because someone could kidnap them. Turner & his young 20 something girlfriend rode on horses w/ park authorities to see about bringing back the buffalo on an original path from early years. Guess he’s doing good conservation. But the adults & kids were not even looking at the beauty.

Very svelte! And a good presentation too. If you need to carry more but don't enjoy the belly band much, like me -- you might consider a decent hip bag like the Savotta Askare 7L. With or without using the PALS webbing, it can carry heavier small items and even a small tent, leaving my 30L vest harness shoulder pack for bulky, lightweight items. The weight can quickly be taken off your shoulders by resting the upper pack on the lower "shelf" -- and the weight on your hips never shows up on the shoulders!

Wool is not environmentally friendly. Sheep need land, feed, yes they don't just eat grass. It needs chemicals to dye, preserve and protect. The land they live on would be forest normally but they stop forests returning and that's before we start on methane and faeces in the water supply. Down is barbar8c watch a few videos on how they make it. Also that down jacket is down stuffed in a synthetic bag anyway.

With an ultralight pack. It is more comfortable not to use the waist belt. And only use the shoulder straps. Buy once the weight goes over 15 lbs. ( for me ).
