You're exactly right, Neil, I bought a BX25D with a backhoe that had never been off and a cardboard box filled with the 3-point hitch. I'm glad I had Internet reception so I could watch your installation video on my phone.
At 4:56 you say "This plate can't come off". Mine has CONSISTENTLY until I watched your video. At 3:12 you speak of the "odd shaped pin". That's been my problem all the way long on my BX 2350! YOU ARE AWESOME! Problem solved! Thanks so much! Too bad you're not in Illinois because I had my dealer put this on for me and they forgot that "odd shaped pin" which has caused me nothing but problems for about 8 months! Wish I would have watched this video 8 months ago!
Thank you Neil! Bought the kit at my local Kubota dealership but I’m not super handy. Used the paper instructions until I hit a snag. I put in on RU-vid what I was looking for and, of course, this video was the first in cue. I should have known as I watched your videos before purchasing my bx2680. Thank you! Seriously, you saved me a lot of frustration and I appreciate it!
When I first got my BX It had the backhoe on it and It came with the 3pt linkage. Now never having a tractor before it took me quiet some time to figure this out ahahah now that I can do it blindfolded I stumbled on this video! But thank you for it! One thing I had wrong was the lock out bracket so i DID learn something today! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I put it at the top of my tractor play list. I hope Kubota is rewarding you well for your videos. We tried to use the Kubota manual to install our 3 point hitch - and there is not enough information. In particular, they do not cover at all how to assemble what Kubota calls the "chain plate" at the bottom of the assembly. I view this as very tricky - but there is no documentation at all. After watching your video several times and the Outdoors with the Morgan's video, I came up with these missing instructions. 1. assemble chain plate using chain plate rod, 2 nuts, 2 lower links for lifting rods, triangle plate slide left and right lower links onto chain plate rod slide 2 bushings on outside of rod slide chain plate rod into lower socket openings on tractor push bushings and links to the sides making bushings flats go into sockets hook triangle plate onto the center of the rod 2. Install snap pin and stopper pin (prevents chain plate from detaching from chain plate rod) 3. Install top of left and right lifting rods into upper clevises 4. Install snap pins to lock lifting rods to clevises 5. Install top link with metal piece to keep the link up 6. Install pin and snap ring to hold top link in place Again - thank you so much! Kubota owes you big time.
Thanks for the help. These Messick's videos are by far the best. But why do you have a pin left over lying on the ground? Hahahaha... just an extra I presume?
I looked at the box and it looked like trying to put humpty dumpty back together again! Then I watched your video and I'm like thats so easy why didn't I think of that! LoL
You should have taken the time to show people the holes to hold the lift arms if you don’t want the 3 point to go up and down. A lot people don’t realize that, that’s an option.
Neil Thank you for this video. Just purchased my hitch kit from you guys. Customer service is spot on. Received mi hitch today. I should have gotten my new PD10 from you guys. Will be doing business with you for my BX25D
Maybe a video of unpacking a 3 point hitch plus assembly. .. people might like that? Great videos btw. I have no reason to watch them. But I do. I actually learn a lot of terminology... thanks
Great video. Wish I saw this when I got my BX25D 6 years ago. First time I did this it took about a week to figure the 3-pt hitch. Manual was not much help. Wish my dealer called to check on me or offered some sort of classes for first-time tractor owners. I can do this pretty quick now. Still I learned from this video how that bracket holds up the top link. Never knew that and all those times I'd swear at it being in the way trying to move my rotary cutter or tiller into place. Thanks!
I also like how there is some pushing and pulling, that sometimes it just doesn't line up. You showed how to move the box blade. Some people might not like to handle parts. But believe me. Changing many 2 foot backhoe buckets, you had to always manhandle the bucket, I was used to the old school way of changing buckets with pins and Ring locks.
Thanks for this video. We recently purchased this equipment for our property. This video was very helpful in setting up my 3p hitch for my rough mower.
This was kicking my but first time doing it, this video fixed the problem! Some way to keep those bushings on the bottom link bar would be very useful!
I purchased a 2019 BX 23S in large part due to your videos - Thank you. I know you did a review of the grass catcher previously but was wondering if an install video could be made. Of all the quick detach implements this is one that is a lot more difficult to install and uninstall from the 3 pt hitch. Tips and tricks from your experience would be awesome. Thanks from Canada
1. Who are the 7 losers who hit thumbs down? 2. Is there a link to that 3 point quick attach you used at the end of the video? (Im a bx23s owner) Great video as always!
Good to know the BX2680 I just got last week is missing a piece of the 3 point...the bracket that holds the top link up...oh well, a bungee cord will suffice, having a hard enough time just getting the mower deck and pallet forks for my tractor from the dealer, not going to bother trying to get a trivial bracket at this point, ugg.
Can you add a front bucket...to an older b7400 ....arms...bucket....mine never had one to begin with...and I have 1700 to spend...or budgeted for this project
Messics I have a 2017 bx25d and I was wondering if you’ve made a video of how to take off the front end loader you probably have I’ve just not seen it yet
On a 2020 BX 1880 there is not enough room to attach the drawbar lock onto either side of the lower 3 point hitch arm. I'm talking about a Cat 1 drawbar lock. Do you know if Kubota makes a smaller lock that fits or is there another way to prevent the drawbar from spinning around. I simply want to mount a trailer ball onto it. Thanks
Neil, does this same kit fit an original 2005 BX23mlb? Are individual parts available? Mine came new with a 3pt hitch kit that was never used... and now many parts seem to be missing. This is a great video for me. Now I can figure out what is missing, and move forward to get a 3 point working.
Guys I owe you a case a beer.... #2 bushing does not indicate there is notches for the assembly! Otherwise, #20 does not straddle #3 pin!!!! !@#$%^&*(&^%$#@!@#$%^&* KUBOTA!
LMAO 🤣😂. The 3 point hitch kit i got with my BX23S is about 200 pcs in a box. I didn't get anything assembled. I need a video on where all the tiny nuts n bolts go to assemble the IKEA kit i got with zero instructions.
Can you tell me if it's ok that I replaced the "snap rings" with cotter pins on the Clevis Pin holding the lifting rod? I have a hard time getting the rings on and off :(
I lost one of the end bushings that goes on the retention shaft and I can’t find a replacement anywhere. Do you know what they are called or where I can order one? I’ve been looking for days.
@@MessicksEquip thank you!!!!!!!!! Gained a new customer…. I’ve called two kubota dealers and scoured the internet for this damn thing… life saver thank you
It looks easy and don't think you would want to dive to south Carolina just to in stall a 3 point hitch... but I do want to thank you for all the videos they are awesome and I wish we had a dealer like you around here 👍👍👍
Hey I just saw your video I'm looking for a kit that will work for a b3030 can you please help? will the b2650 work? I have the backhoe and I have the same setup in the video thank you for your time
