Full title reads: "The Stadium. Wembley. By Three Clear Goals. Everton convincingly defeat their fellow rivals and neighbours - Manchester City - in what will be always remembered as the All-Lancashire Final and one of the rare clear-cut victories. "
Wembley Stadium, London.
Players from the Everton (in white) and Manchester City teams walk out onto the Wembley turf. LS of Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI) meeting the teams. The two captains toss up (A newsreel camera is filming this from the pitch presumably for another company). Manchester City kick off to start the FA Cup final. Various shots of the match. Players mentioned include Matthew (Matt) Busby, Stein, Johnson, and Brittain. Some shots in Slow Motion. Stein scores the first goal for Everton. More shots of the match. (some signs of film rolling in gate - may be shrunk).
Intertitle reads: "Everton 'cross over' first half leading 1 goal to nil - scored by Stein from a free kick after 'Dixie' Dead had missed and open goal from 3 yds out. - Manchester City playing thrustful football but lacking 'finish'.."
Various shots of second half. Man City do a lot of attacking. Quick shot of Dixie Dean scoring Everton's second goal.
Intertitle reads: "Eight minutes from time, Dunn headed a third goal to give Everton their crowning glory - unparalleled in Football history - promotion, championship and 'The Cup' in 3 successive years."
CU Jimmy Stein, CU Dixie Dean CU Jimmy Dunn - the three scorers.
Interview section - Dixie Dean - smoking a cigarette and Sam Karn seated at table. CU Dean raising a glass to toast Lancashire. Karn joins him in toasting the county.

Chest out from the old conscription days. Even before the conscription era, people generally saw the army as a means of going from a nobody to nobility. Notice how posture went out the door once Europeans no longer saw the army as a means of social mobility. As good as any of those player were, they couldn't compete with a man the same age in the army, navy, air forces etc. So back then you could imagine the poor posture leading to curved shoulders and having your arms jutting out was extremally unattractive.

In those days the Scouse accent was different, even in the 60s listen to the Beatles accents. Dixie made a recorded interview in the late 70s still the accent was different from the way we speak now....accents evolve, read "Mother tongue " by Bill Bryson..btw ,loved the cut glass accent of the commentator....COYB
